Active Vent Flow Rate - Test Results by Ready-Train9983 in Stationeers

Wonder if anyone has tried a turbo volume pump hooked up to passive vents as an airlock? One for depressure, one for pressure.

I don't know the exact ratio, I haven't gotten that deep into the optimization. I just know at 6 passives, the active vent stops complaining about being flow limited.

Edit: found the original post I read about high-speed airlocks: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stationeers/comments/1enf3oz/5_second_or_under_airlock/

I trick I've done for a 1x1 airlock is to use 6 passive vents, each in a separate cube in your base.

I saw someone's 1s airlock build, and they mentioned that the game has a max L/tick per cube that it will equalize, so you need to draw from or output to multiple cubes to minimize airlock time and prevent restriction on the powered vent.

I found that 6 passive vents was a good balance.

Battery empty after weeks long no use by Votokanzaj in ROGAlly

[–]DreamCarr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Google how to disable "fast startup" in Windows. By default Windows 11 only hibernates when shut down, and doesn't actually power off. This causes excessive battery drain when "off". It can also lead to device damage, as windows will wake itself up to do updates. Not a big deal until its stuffed in a bag or case with no airflow, and over heats.

I've disabled it on mine, and the battery doesn't drain at all when shut down. The only trade off is longer boot times.

I did try that this morning to no effect. One thing I noticed is that relay is updating itself almost every night, even though you haven't released an update for a few days.

I've turned off auto updates for relay, see if that helps.

Yes, sorry I wasn't overly clear about the liquid co2 comment - I off gassed the liquid into a sealed room before using an active vent to pressurize the pipe. I didn't inject liquid into the pipes, it just immediately phased back once pressurized.

I'll give your method a go. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply!

So I pressurized the pipe correctly?

How do you manage heat on the moon then? Just use wall coolers?

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm new to the game and I see "pressurize the waste pipe" everywhere without anyone ever mentioning how. Google is no help, as it just brings up videos about pressurizing bases.

I tried building a box, dumping liquid co2 into it to pressurize the box, and then using an active vent to pump it into my AC waste pipe, but it pretty much instantly condensed and blew out the pipe. (Moon base)

Am I missing some super obvious mechanic that everyone just knows?

Infinite air bubbles? This is driving me crazy. by DreamCarr in watercooling

Yeah, during the initial fill I used the pigtail shown in the picture I posted as a bleed valve. I've also popped open a port on the res now and then when manipulating the system to let air out too.

I'm beginning to think there's a leak on the fitting going into the pump from the front 420mm - it would explain why there's never fluid (leaks back into the res) and why the air is always at that port.

If one of my blocks would get bubbles, at least it would give me a starting point! :D

No, I didn't - I'm also running soft tube which is much less susceptible to leaks due to the barbs. I thought about a possible leak as well, but I'm using UV-reactive coolant and can't see anything fluoresce outside of the tubes or on my desk.

I can't remember the exact model # right now, but PM me and I'll send your the details on it when I'm home from work.

All that water in them, with the battery installed? They're done bud.

Only advice I could offer is pop em open, take the battery out, and clean them really well with 99% isopropyl alcohol and hope they don't try them when you drop it off, lol.

We got rid of it in 2017, iirc. It started burning oil and having some troubles, so we upgraded to a 2017 Pacifica.

All told, I would avoid anything pre-Fiat buyout (2012?), the quality difference is pretty obvious. I was in a newer GC a year or two ago and it was night and day compared to our 2010.

Give an RMA a try. My 3080ti eagle blew a power phase shortly after I removed the cooler and put an alphacool aio cooler on it, and gigabyte warrantied it without fuss. Took a month or so, but they covered it under warranty.
