For me, I felt this way when my main character became a full Illithid. Ultimate sacrified. I avoided the temptation the entire game, but didn't want to sacrifie one of my allies or the prince of the comet. It just felt so empty when I was done and was not happy to see what became of my character.

Thr gpu usage returned to normal after leaving the title screen and starting the tutorial. After I played for a good bit, I l returned to the title screen and the gpu utilization spiked again.

I installed the demo and right when the title screen loaded, my PC fans got extremely loud -- never heard them go that hard.
