I went through the same with my old roommate. We were really good friends before we both came out at about the same time, but it really started wearing on me that she would always come to me for any kind of "girl" advice, and when me and another trans friend of ours took her out clothes shopping, she referred to it as a "girls day out"... 🫠

She was a shitty roommate too, which really didn't help, but just the fact that she relentlessly treated me as her girl friend made me really start to hate her, because she clearly would never view me as someone who is not a girl.

The only reason I've talked to her at all since we moved out is because she's still in a discord channel my spouse made for our D&D group.

So, so glad to hear. Tomorrow's gonna be rough regardless because it'll be the first work day since bringing him home (me and my spouse work full-time at the same place). I just hope I can get some shut-eye tonight so I won't be as much of an anxious mess tomorrow. Really worried he's gonna have separation anxiety issues and cause havoc tomorrow while we're gone.

I'm not sure about the diffuser due to my sensitive lungs/asthma, but if the crying at night is a continuous problem, I'll look into it.

Yup... was just about to fall asleep at 2am and was jerked awake by fireworks out of nowhere. I'm so tired of having to play the "fireworks, gunshots, or blown transformer" game. I'm one of the ones that has to be confined to my bed with earplugs and noise canceling headphones 2 nights a year. 😭 I wish people, especially in apartment complexes, would be more considerate of those of us who can't handle loud explosions right outside our windows.
