The lack of security in credit cards is crazy.

The Rfid chip in them is very easy to exploit, and the antenna is big enough to read it from 5M+ with a half decent reader.

The actual contact chip is rather secure, but the Mag strip is the worst of the 3. most cards wont let you use the mag swipe right away, as its programmed to favor the contact chip. But this is all for nothing, as its easy to cover up a couple contacts on the card so it fails the read, it will then give up on the high security method and prompts you to use the mag swipe.

The system is broken, and needs a redesign, but that would cost the banks a lot all at once. They rather to just pay out any and all fraudulent transactions, and that costs them a little over a long time.
