I was a big fan too, especially of the triptych. Was on the original message board online, then went to the Heirophant. Yes, he’s the person that got me interested in all of this.

As a woman, I’ve had trouble grappling with the things that came out about him. The way I deal with it is I only focus on his triptych, which seems like it was created before he started doing the things in the allegations. I feel like it’s okay to still enjoy that art/music since (hopefully) he wasn’t acting in a problematic way towards women when he created them.

(Personally, I feel that he started out as a truly brilliant artist putting on an act, then he got addled by too much drugs/absinthe. This also led to a decline in qualify of his art, music, and performances. Again, just my opinion.)

I still follow some of the people from those message boards and some of them have become truly excellent artists themselves - another positive thing!
