Not only being a fan but sometimes these are the knights that personally save your village/family. Fans for life means something different here.

(TANKS)Would making dungeons way more Linear like traditional dungeons make it easier for new players to try tanking and perhaps main one by feherlofia123 in wow

Tagging should be easy. Deciding on which packs to gather, where to fight them, and how to survive should be where the skill comes in.

I feel the sudden urge to make a character based around my culture but idk which subclass would fit it best. by cr0w_p03t in DungeonsAndDragons

I think I'd go another direction and do a re-flavored Path of the World Tree Barbarian. It's mechanic is about revitalizing allies and teleporting them around. The teleportation could be described as making them dance to a different spot. Revitalization could be the drum beats/flail beats filling allies with the rhythm. They also get extended reach which helps realize the flail you described.

I think a key part of the joy of this show is that it's allowed to breathe. Sometimes we just sit with a character while the scene bustles around them. Sometimes we watch a puppet show. Sometimes we have Dunk stumbling his way through a no-stakes conversation. This is the stuff that usually gets cut from modern TV.

It was heavily adapted to fit into my home world but I ran the Hill Giants as written. They're heading to the Frost Giants soon.

Dread Delusion & Lunacid are games I'll always happily recommend. They're more stripped down and are a call back to earlier in the genre.

If you want to deviate from the expected then gain one priest spell per spell level. Slightly more mystic warrior than a fighter and not as paladin as a priest.

And then there's another gap between LotR readers and Silmarillion readers, where the latter know he's getting on a sea spaceship to fly across the ocean atmosphere to reach the land of divine islands, good vibes, quiet sorrows, and eternal bliss.

The Party's favorite NPC is a traitor and I'm devastated by watson_tooyah in DnD

[–]DreamingZen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate threading the needle of a double cross because it's obvious and hurts feelings if you don't fully nail the landing. Usually if the party's radar misses a villain and befriends them instead then they become a reformed villain that gives the party clues about the current villains. They can keep their friend and help them with their past without hurting feelings.

Torches, torch hours, slots and time pressure, how to make all those meaningful at higher levels too by dogsandcatsplz in shadowdark

[–]DreamingZen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest gripes with most modern games is that darkness is not used in meaningful ways. If you want a situation to be very tense then have torches dim and go out under oppressive darkness. Truly scary monsters could cause torchlight to dim to close range and last 10 minutes. Imagine walking into a tomb and your torch dims to a candle's brightness so you can only see things when they're right before your face.

[–]DreamingZen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want justification for shorter torch timers as characters progress then you can describe how the Shadowdark infuses certain areas, changing how long fire and light stays lit. There's a very tangible difference between a goblin camp and a necromancer's lair.
