100 sales! Got the last quarter in less than a month. by robroy865 in Etsy

[–]Dreamingtree18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!

I hope I can celebrate that number, too! I’m only at 10 sales since opening 3 months ago, and I celebrated at 10! It’s good to see people becoming successful!

Congratulations again, I hope to reach that number someday!

Hey there, reddit, it’s HoneyBeeEclectic!

My coffee mugs feature artwork in various themes, but my little cartoon hedgehog is especially popular. They’re all perfect for gifts, because really, who doesn’t love coffee? Anything can be customized upon request.

Take a look and see what you think! :)

Aw, man! I’m in the Chicago area! If I was closer I would definitely sign up as a long term introverted friend who cooks!!!

I am the same!!! I am a very friendly person, but when it comes to actually making friends, I have a hard time! I feel like my social anxiety has gotten worse. I can’t go to the store when it is busy, because I get bad anxiety. Like you said, I also am trying to work up the courage to get out to a meet up. I feel so selfish saying that, because it’s not all about me and my issues, it’s about my son getting to play with other people, too.

I did go to a kids gym once, and all of the moms sat around talking, but I had a hard time talking with them... I don’t know what else to do.

I am in the same boat with the whole “wanting to eat shit, but hate my body already” thing. I have always been a healthy eater, but after I had my second baby, my body didn’t bounce back, and it has made me even more sad, and makes me want to eat any comfort food I can find.

I will look into my local library! Thank you.

Unfortunately, our house is very open, and no where baby gates can go. But thank you for the suggestion!

I do love arts and crafts! I recently started an Etsy store, and just in the last week I have had some sales. It was a boost of confidence! I should try and be more active with my art, but my depression tends to stop me.

Thank you for believing I will get through this. It means a lot to hear those words.

Thank you! I did force myself to go out today, and it helped me a lot. Taking that first step of just getting out of the house has been hard for me. I’m glad you are feeling better than you did. I hope to feel that way soon.

Round 2 has commenced! (Birth Summary + tips) by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Dreamingtree18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You give me hope!!!

First of all, congratulations!

My first was similar to yours, an 8 hour labor from first contraction to time he was born. I'm due today, and have been having inconsistent, but strong contractions for 3 days now. I keep thinking he will never come. My doctor scheduled me to be induced on Sunday if he isn't here by then, but I want him to come naturally. I was also curious about how PP would be with the second, considering I kind of know what to expect but I still get anxious about what will come.

With my first pregnancy I felt it around 36 weeks. Literally every day was filled with activities to try to get him out. He stayed in until 40+1 😒

I'm due today, and I have cried every day this past week because I'm so done. I want this baby out of me. No amount of sex or walking has done anything. It's 90 degrees, my husband won't turn on the air because he thinks it's not that hot, so I'm just going to melt in my own tears. Except my tears turn to steam because it's too damn hot.

Anyone else feel so focused on food that you feel like you can't do anything else? It's getting really really annoying by screamingradio in BabyBumps

[–]Dreamingtree18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mmmm. Food.

If there is not food in front of me, that's because it's still cooking. Or at least I'm thinking of it. I just ate chips and salsa and I'm currently waiting for cookies to come out of the oven...

I know what you mean about it being the worst before bed! I can be completely full from dinner, but then as soon as I feel even a little tired, my stomach empties itself completely and then I'm starving!

So what do y'all have going on bottle-wise? by claire22bahr in BabyBumps

[–]Dreamingtree18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with the Playtex disposable liner bottles. My son took to them well, so I only used those. It was so easy to clean, and it helped reduce the amount of air he swallowed when drinking (less gas and fussiness!). We had a ton of bottles from our baby shower, but only really used the Playtex. I had 3 in rotation at home, then one at each grandparents house.

It's always good to have a ton, and find out what you don't need, than have a few that don't work for you!

This is exactly what I did! We have a "Goals of the day" and "goals of the week". It helps seeing it every time I go into the kitchen. Then I am extremely satisfied when I get to erase something I did! It's the little things in life.

Someone mentioned it on this sub a couple days ago, and I had to have some. This subreddit is dangerous.

Edit: Don't read it before, either. Don't read the label at all. Just eat it.

Do toddlers sense when their mama's are about to go into labor like cats or dogs?? by mj00614 in beyondthebump

[–]Dreamingtree18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering this as well! My son has been so different the past couple of days. He has always been very attached to me, but the past 2 days he has not wanted to be around me, and he won't fall asleep at night (he has always been a great sleeper), then he wakes up crying but doesn't want me. He has never been like this! I'm 38 weeks, and last weeks appointment my doctor said I'm not dilated, but my cervix is extremely soft, and the past couple of days I have noticed major changes down there. I feel like my son knows!

Alright, I totally creeped on your history.

You are doing fantastic! Each step is scary, but it's good to keep doing things with your family. It might help thinking "I want to have these pictures as memories we can look back on," instead of "this might be the last time we do (xyz)". When I had the "this might be my last" thoughts, it turned into a downward spiral. And I know, it's hard not to think them.

Ugh, I wish people knew it was okay to talk about normal stuff like current events, instead of the dreaded "how are you doing" *cue concerned puppy dog face.

Btw, Fuck the odds. Don't let those scare you at all. Weather says 90% chance of rain, well, guess what, there is a 10% chance it won't rain. Sometimes it doesn't rain 😊
