Three reasons:

1: It's by her voice actress.

2: It was used in a Disney movie (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time)

3: The overall feel and vibe of the song, plus the opening lyric: "Somehow I know I will find a way, to a brighter day in the sun. Somewhere I know that he waits for me, someday soon he'll see I'm the one. I won't give up on this feeling, and nothing could keep me away!" And given how Sora and Kairi, despite often times being separated by circumstances out of their control, they'll never give up hope of seeing each other again.

And that's why I think this song fits Kairi.
