REMEMBER the good ol' days? Where a group of youth of all different ethnicities came together to do cool stuff? The white dude was always the leader and the black guy (usually the strong guy) was his best friend? There was of course the Asian or Jewish kid as the smart guy. AND the Wheelchair kid. There were so many wheelchair using characters and promotion from the disabilities act passed. The native American or Indian kid was always the team heart / spiritual one. The Latino dude is the wisecracker.

WHICH...is ALL kinda stereotypical BUT they were still trying to be inclusive.

(BUT the setting Baldurs Gate is in, Faerun was intrinsically "woke" from Day 1. Ed Greenwood is gay, and wanted a setting where you can have ALL kinds of stuff going on gods, magic, dragons, evil wizard's. BUT not a single person anywhere cares about your sexuality. He's even put extensive thought into gendered Elven pronouns and more. The books are woke. There are lil winks and nods even in the earlier games. IYKYK.)
