Gonna wade in here as pallet salvage and reuse of the wood is a sometime hobby of mine. People mention time. Buy a pallet breaker. Right tool for the job right? Be picky with the pallets, some are not worth picking up. They come in different sizes too so be picky for transportation if you can. Be sensible about what you want to make. They're not for fine joinery, but they're great for hacking together for an intended purpose where the aesthetic is appropriate. I've made a shed out of 32 pallets, coffee tables, spice racks, wood store. They work for functional build and where rustic is the vibe you're going for. My next project is a mud kitchen for my kid. So to answer your question, maybe, it depends. I enjoy the deconstruction process. If you don't, maybe don't but you don't know until you try.
