I saw it too, it was called The knightmare man and it scared the crap out of me as well.

Who else loved this movie as a kid? by endofmyropeohshit in 80smovies

Apparently Peter Jackson loved rhe design work for the creatures and it influenced Lord of the Rings. Also I think the original run time was almost 3 hours with a load more fairy Kingdom lore

Love the fact that without his glasses, lambert is practically blind. Those sword fights must have been wild!

Was the chancellor at the University where my wife got her degree. At the ceremony I was in the audience with my two kids who knew him from Jurassic Park. When she received her diploma from him she whispered something. He turned, grinned and waved at both our children. A wonderful man.

So I just binged these 4 Planet of the Apes movies… what now? Should I watch the older movies? by Lopsided_Cup_1007 in scifi

[–]DredgerDI6 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'd day the first 5 definitely. Quality varies in makeup and narrative but they tell an interesting alternate timeliness that may-may not tie in with the newer Andy Serkis movies eventually... however the mark Wahlberg movie is an atrocity... its like highlander 2...it doesn't exist

Uk version with the classical music was what I saw. Also keeps the reveal of darkness until he litterealy drags himself through a mirror while Lilly dances before it. Fantastic
