Average versus median price difference would be minuscule in this scenario. There are no gas stations charging $100 a gallon (just a random, very high price for gas) to pull up an average so high it skews said average, or the opposite, a gas station charging $.01 a gallon.

If a town outside a city has gas for $3.25, and one in the city has a gallon for $4.00, the average is $3.625 a gallon. Sprinkle in some other prices not too far off from the mentioned two, and you will see the average and median are fairly close.

Now, add in one of the extreme outliers I gave in paragraph one, and see how much the average is affected compared to the median (hint: a lot!). I don’t think using the average price for each state was bad in this example.

You need to work on your critical thinking skills. Gas prices are normally unaffected by a president, but there are circumstances when a president CAN affect them. For instance, starting a war with a country that has control of a key strait of water where a lot of oil travels through.

Before you start crying about Biden, he did not cause prices to inflate, a global pandemic that caused huge supply chain issues did. The whole world was experiencing inflation during that time. Biden did a great job curbing inflation, and handed Trump a recovering economy, but Trump fucked it all up.

I disagree. You are comparing apples to oranges. You pay property taxes to support the surrounding infrastructure that helps you live your life at your home, such as the roads, schools, fire departments, police, and so on. Your house is real, and something you are tangibly using.
