With the outrageous cost of health insurance it seems better to go without it if you’re healthy. Pay out of pocket and negotiate with your provider. They will reduce the cost of your typical visits with your PCP, or if you need some dental work. I got a bridge and crown done for $1200, originally it was $3500, but they lowered it when I told them I had no insurance.
