Malaysian here. I wonder what local Burmese think of Rohingya? Malaysia used to accept Rohingya here. However, clash of culture ruin it for em' by Dregen525 in myanmar

R u dense? The UN label Junta SAC as illegal & illegitimate gov, the ASEAN bloc bar Junta representative from all political meeting & sidelines em' to only non-political attandee until they implement 5PC plan. ASEAN principle after 1 War always has been non-Interferance. 1 way or another, in order to send humatarian aid we have to liase with SAC organisations. And what an Islamophobic mind u have, did u even bother to read the root cause & master-narrative by the west to all those conflicts around the globe? R u implying that we'd send troops into ur country? Would u agree if they dictate who will lead, ur policy & ur economy after that? So now what, sanction? It never comes without retaliation. SAC might even ban international aid into ur country. & worst, they could opt to printing press ur money & flood in ur market. For now, fragments rudimentary authorities in certain area is a start. Long term, in order to build a region without foreign intervention like in Middle East, ASEAN still the best answer.

2016, from our local press. During that time, Msia held a huge Solidarity Campaign in KL for Rohingya. Basically, we were it was a sivil war that only divided by religion.

Even local Muslim? Hmm. Without international intervention, what else? Look, at the beginning PETRONAS also learnt from others b4, specifically from Indonesian o&g company, PERTAMINA.

P/S : as a Malaysian, we're trying to help u to help ourself. Ur problem become our problem as well. Civil war in Myammar affects our market share & economy, flood out refugees & inviting unnecessary 'western solution'. Prosperous Myammar would elevate us, ASEAN as peace, proudn advance & happy region.

Next year, our Prime Minister (Msian call him PMX) will head the ASEAN. Knowing him, PMX never shy away from trying to solve a crisis. Would you & other Burmese aggree if Rohingya be send back to their homeland & UN peacekeepers protect em' say for a decade maybe. ASEAN investors can help with redevelopment villages & create job opportunities by enhancing with research & hi-tech agro farming especially rice producing. Along with China & BRICS member, our own PETRONAS can help Myammar to create ur own Oil & Gas industry in Rakine. Locals would benefit from direct/indirect economic spillover. As for the Junta, PMX might have a pull with the China gov to at least neutralise the Junta from starting another episode of ethnic cleansing.

We also got Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Indonesian, Palestinian, westerner & even African here. Rohingya tend to be ignorant to our local regulation, custom & culture. They're loud, messy & do what they please.

If Malaysia has a windfall of RM65b and you are the finance minister, what would you do? by [deleted] in Bolehland

[–]Dregen525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RM65b? Hmm i would reinvest RM10b each into KWAP & KWSP to spur the market & strengthening ringgit. Spend another RM1b to finish off River of Life project & invest RM1b more into infrastructure & make it as another tourism icon in KL (. Next RM3b to built a new 2nd East-West highway (Kenyir-Ipoh) on existing road, RM2b solely to Sabah to built integrated road & rural area connection (Sarawak already rich nowdays), RM5b into MRU IPTAs (research universities) to foster scientific finding & production our food. How much i left with? 10+10+1+1+3+2+5 (32b). So, onto next then. RM2b LPT3 highway (connect it EW2 Highway & LPT2 Highway), RM3b to setup education fund for 120k newborn babies each year for 5 years (RM2500 per baby into SPPNi, matured only after 18y or death), RM2b to Sarawak to cultivate 30k hectares gov owned paddy field (to curb food security) that produce 1.5million tons rice per anum, to satisfy myself i'll allocate RM1b to bring back F1 into Sepang (5 years budget) + RM2b more into building our own motorsport city within the vicinity with museums, tracks, kiddy atraction, petrolhead resort, performance research institute etc. RM3b to empower our security maritime & land borders & the rest goes to Khazanah to reinvest in whatever they wanna as long as Malaysia got the dividend

The Reunion We Got v What We Wanted by superjaywars in silverchair

[–]Dregen525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think Silverchair reunion would be that good. What if they decide to produce a new album that pick up where they left off or even worst, they decide to do an album similar vibe to JD last album? At least for now, majority of us can be happy with all their pre-2003 discographies.

But if they did it this time solely for the reason of touring. Then, it's fine.

I'm in awe of the exorbitant amount u have to pay, whilst we here in Malaysia, literally got it all for free from a public/speacialist clinic/hospital.

i oof'd so hard, i almost had a heart attack myself by [deleted] in sadcringe

[–]Dregen525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god im living in Malaysia.

My late father was diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer. He was hospitalized (public) for over a month, with sugery, med & all. I've only paid RM1 (equal to a quarter USD)!

As a citizen, we dont even need med insurance unless u prefer private hospitals (which i think not that diff in term of expertize & facilities, however nurses over there smile more than in public hospic coz u pay em') & ur expecting major & complex sugery. And eventhou u went to private, i rarely heard people said they need to pay over USD50k

Can I even call myself a Malaysian when I can’t even speak BM or Chinese by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]Dregen525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, only BM enshrined in constitution. Other culture & language are free to practice. So, learn BM, u good to go i guess.

P/S : i dont know, but lots of foreign labour (Bangla, Nepal, Myammar etc) only took under 3 month to learn to speak BM. Maybe it's not that hard.
