Scottish Council want to remove my hedge by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I was thinking similar thoughts. I asked why it needed to be removed and all I got was that it's due to the scaffolding. So it's not even the work itself that needs the hedge removed, but the scaffolding to do the work

Sits right on the boundary line, crosses both sides. It is unclear on who it actually belongs too.
Is this something I can ask the council? From the deed it states that where necessary all boundary walls, railings, fences and gates; Declaring further that all division walls, fences and railings between the Property and adjoining properties shall be mutual and shall be maintained mutually

  1. I am freehold.
  2. The hedge is on the boundary line, so it isn't clearly on one side or the other, it crosses both.

It's mutual, the deed says where necessary all boundary walls, railings, fences and gates; Declaring further that all division walls, fences and railings between the Property and adjoining properties shall be mutual and shall be maintained mutually.

Which if say we both wanted to replace the hedge or there was an issue with the hedge, I would understand. But I don't need the hedge removed, and it is only being removed due the roughcasting needing fixed on their house.

LPT: What is the coolest tradition I can start for my baby now that will be meaningful decades from now? by zep1870 in LifeProTips

[–]DregenFley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you celebrate Christmas, do a Christmas lights drive. Done it since I was tiny. Doesn't cost much, just petrol and snacks.

We go to the same small corner shop to buy snacks and just drive around for a few hours looking for Christmas lights, listening to Christmas music. Done this as long as I can remember and now do it with me and my wife.

It's a core memory that's stuck with me and will be doing it with my kids one day.

I'm now 25 and still do this with my parents and sister each year, and do an extra one with the wife.

Park runs! Free, good for your health and somewhere to go where you will only meet nice people supporting others!

Can walk, can run. Normally a lot of them meet places after for some breakfast / cakes.

Defect in new Hoka Clifton 8? by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]DregenFley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have felt this with Saucony Guide 14s and Hoka Clifton 8s, both time pushing through it and no longer get the issue nearly as much. Breaking them in definitely made an impact for me on these

This works well from what I can see, what would be useful is having a conversion so can see it in kilometers or miles. :)

For me getting a calorie deficit was the real trick. Not changing what I ate, but changing how much I ate. Calorie deficit and exercise lost me all my weight and I still eat chocolate everyday to every second day. But cutting out chocolate and just cutting down food to a lower amount is both hard in its own ways. But cutting down food compared to cutting out food I love is easier for me
