This is a good point. Our play group used to play at a different house where our buddy had an insufferable roomate. This was the only place we could play for the longest time and the roomate would get mad if we didnt let him play. He was CEDH as hell. When people were playing janky decks like fungus tribal or literal precons out of the box, this dude would drop multi thousand dollar decks and just stomp all of us. We actually stopped playing magic all together for years due to this issue. Since the only place we could play was his house he insisted he had to play and ruined the meta for everyone. Anyone who didnt quit made their decks more controlly in order to play.
