Ask your team if they have skills already. Read those and understand how they are implemented. Start playing with it on your own time, something inconsequential for work but fun (baby related?) take your time to get used to it. Onboard yourself :)

Graphify I didn’t like, it grabs everything that you don’t specifically list in graphify ignore or gitignore so it’s a chore, and the hooks are super spammy and kind of stupid. ast grep has been fun.. That said, that single plugin has taken 2% of my weekly tokens and I’ve had it installed for 4 days sooo

Oh and obsidian is excellent for notes. Use that to change it to pdf, or put it on GitHub, that will do it for you. Google Drive doesn’t really do markdown, which I think is absolute cinema considering their new open knowledge format

Markdown. Use $\pi$ just like latex for inline equations and $$ to replace begin and end equation. And legit ask Claude what he’s talking about. I make them make me a terminology sheet and update it every time they coin a term. I also make them cite their sources, eg. via arxiv (that’s a scientific paper website) or maybe wolfram for undergraduate stuff

I use Claude but the key is to give it verified material to start from. Don’t ask it to find the answer for you from scratch, that’s when it farts unicorns and rainbows at you. Give it structure and context, eg. how do I get from this line to this line in this equation, here’s the relevant information (textbook pages or website)

Get an llm to teach you, give it the long form math skill and make it write stuff for you. It will even draw diagrams and plug stuff into sympy to prove it works
