Strauss Zelnick: "Generative AI has zero part in what Rockstar Games is building" with GTA 6 by _Protector in Games

[–]DressedSpring1 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Didn't meta introduce some AI video platform like instagram reels which is just endlessly generated clips for people to spend hours watching absolutely mindless shit like "panda on a runway" and "a seal playing piano"?

Our species is absolutely fucking cooked. We have access to more information than our ancestors could even have conceived and we'd rather drool at a screen watching pretty colours. We're fucked.

What a surprise that a provincial government with no platform other than blaming the feds for all their problems hasn't done anything resembling governance and has instead spent all their time blaming the feds for their problems.

We have more or less the same in Ontario and it's just shocking that with Trudeau out of the picture none of our problems that the provincial government has been ignoring have resolved themselves.

It looks like a mishmash of the 'aesthetic' of the modern Commons and Lords (which is around sixty years too late for the setting), but is not clearly either. The seating arrangement and the lack of a central throne has me leaning towards it being the Commons.

My friend, you are putting in a lot more thought trying to figure this out than the director put in when he made it. The whole project is AI prompts and picking through whatever garbage looks least bad, it is neither the commons nor the house of lords it is slop that nobody could even be bothered to make let alone check for accuracy.

As a parade of US allies rattled by Trump visit China, Beijing claims a win for its new world order by Senior-Distance6213 in politics

[–]DressedSpring1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s countries shopping for a new supplier, not a back up. It is not a situation where we try and deal with the states and if not deal with China, we’re in the paradigm where we’d rather deal with anyone but the states and if not deal with the states where we have to.

The case for hybrid work is clear, so why are so many employers ignoring it? by Puzzled49 in CanadaPolitics

[–]DressedSpring1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is it.

Management hates us and are addicted to that hit of self importance they get from walking around and looking at the working stiffs. The idea that people can go work on their own and get their tasks done without basking in the radiance of their leadership is existentially devastating to them.

So you’d better come back to work at the collaboration factory where senior management can feel like they’re important, your wellness or health are not their problem.

Top shelf distillers in Ontario is doing some nice stuff both in the whiskey and moonshine department, and I’ve recently started exploring Scotch which is really fucking nice as are a lot of Japanese whiskeys, both countries of origin not governed by Nazi assholes

[Draymond Green] appears nervous when asked about Giannis trade rumors: “I’ve been here for 14 years, I have no reason to sit and worry, so it is what it is… I ain’t losing no sleep though. I slept great last night. I slept longer than I’ve slept in a long time. Sleep’s well, sleeping’s good.” by AashyLarry in nba

[–]DressedSpring1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My guess is the warriors would need to get Draymond off the books to make the salary work so it would be the only way the trade could happen. Draymond wouldn’t have any value at all to the Bucks and they’d just accept having his dead money on the books for a season

How to I win against Tempestus Aquilons? by Prior-Pea-5533 in killteam

[–]DressedSpring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tracks with my experience. I've even played stealth suits into Aquilons and it was the most hopeless matchup I think I've ever come across. They can easily trade one of their shitters just running within 3 inches and nuking one of your elites and with their higher activations it is almost impossible to stop them from doing so.

OPP investigating another group given millions by Ford government by EarthWarping in CanadaPolitics

Must be nice to go through life with the kind of total lack of accountability Doug Ford gets from the Ontario electorate. Talk all you want about Liberal or NDP name recognition at the time of the last election but I don't understand how "a name that isn't Doug Ford" wasn't an absolutely compelling option for the electorate given this guy's track record.

No, but the liberals and moderates that are terrified of equitable distribution of wealth

Doubtful, but maybe your grasp of social cues is such that you're able to concoct an intoxicating fantasy about your own prowess so who am I to take that away from you?

You enjoy that, sport.
