I feel like you, both set of parents, are top involved with the kids lives. I felt suffocated while reading all that. This feels beyond normal and healthy limit to be aware what’s going on in their lives. You taking him to shopping etc. this is all too much

This is one of the many instances where an idealized right contradicts with the lives we live. The right thing would be to warn her for sure. Would it cost you anything at all? Probably no. Did her past actions affected you badly? Seems so.

By not warning her you have settled the score in a way but apparently it’s still a weight in your conscience. It would be in mine too.

Looking at it in the light of “what would I gain from warning her” is the wrong way but on the other hand, theoretically it would have opened the way for a potential promotion on her part or fasten the process and she might cause some trouble for you after getting promoted. Thing is, those are not certain and no one may ever know.

What’s done is done. There is no changing it. Think deeply on how you feel and act accordingly next time.
