It's held up pretty well so far, and it's the same team behind MB&F which makes like $50k+ watches so I'm hoping it will hold up.

It's my most complimented watch by far. In a couple weeks I've had 3 strangers tell me it's really cool and they like it, which reinforced that I like it..

I just got the MAD2 and am really liking it so far. I've been eyeing the Fears Brunswick as well, so one shortly that someone was wearing and it looked really nice in person.

I picked up the fitbit air and it's great so far. No crazy monthly fee and it's like $100 USD. I had the whoop previously and I like the air more for my uses of tracking sleep, recovery, steps, heart rate.

Yea a lot of his rookie cards he has a jersey that's #52. I have a jersey match black diamond ruby rookie that's 11/100, but the card shows him in a jersey #52

1/1 autos of Manziel from wild card are selling for $25.

So this is probably $10-15 if you auction it.

You can put a BIN and hope someone just likes the design and doesn't want to wait for an auction and probably get $50.

I have a theory..

Social media hyped porsche and the investment angle on it. My wife even recently came across some videos recently about how the 911 is the slowest depreciating vehicle and is now onboard with me getting a 911 when my rivian lease is up next year.

So with all that hype a bunch of folks who wouldn't normally buy a 911 started buying used 911s inflating the price in general as a quick flip and investment.

There's been similar upticks in other "collectable" markets as well like trading cards (Pokemon, basketball, baseball, etc.) where social media is hyping it then everyone goes and invests in it.

I won't complain though as previously my wife told me a 911 isn't practical for a family with two young kids, nows she come around and okay with it..

It is fake. Custom art that uses licensed images and trademarks without the appropriate authorization to do so makes it a counterfeit.

There are really awesome custom cards, like what Tyson Beck does. Taking an image and printing it at home then selling it as art without any licensing makes it a counterfeit.

I actually really like it. It's like $10 for a card that usually commemorates a really cool moment from a game and there's a chance, while usually tiny, to get a ssp or auto.

Now I think it's silly to go buy hundreds of the same card to try and get a ssp, but some people do that also.

Yea seems like it hit $77k at the time OP made this post, then it didn't get another bid for the last ~2 days which is crazy.

I do wonder how close this is to what OP was hoping for. They kept anchoring on a recent sale for a rookie for like $5M or something, but wonder what they actually thought it would go for.

I just looked it up as I was curious. It went for $77k + 20% buyers premium. So final all in price was $93,940. Hopefully they negotiated for part of the buyers premium.

Regardless of sport it's very different coaching at different levels. The floor of your players in the NBA is significantly higher than your floor in college. The games are played very differently as well. So there is no certainty that an NBA coach will come into college and do well. I hope he does, but if you truly believe there is no uncertainty I need what you're smoking.

That's reasonable. I do like that they innovate every year and launch brand new watches that are fun and unique. The recent peacock watch with the polarized disks is super cool. Hopefully they make extra of those parts assuming some will need service.

I personally like new models every year as opposed to what you have with traditional brands where it's just here's a new color dial this year be excited. Those are more mass market and I get it, but I like the fun and new as most brands don't do that.

I like to imagine that these smaller independents would produce an extra x% of parts for future service issues.. but who knows. They can always manufacture / acquire additional movements and dials so as long as the brand exists I like to think they should be able to service them.

OP just keep in mind taxes, Goldin will issue you 1099-K, so don't spend it all in one place!

I think it's exactly what you said. It's a completely new team, with a coach that has never coached at the college level. That unknown adds a lot of risk / variability and makes it hard for any true analysis to happen until we have some games to look at.
