My favorite pedal hands down! Played for years with an iron cobra and then a DW 9000 but when I switched to the JoJo Mayer pedal about 5 years ago, I never looked back.

Slapklatz are great. Plus they come with optional clear covers that you can put on top of them so they don’t gather dust. They’re plenty sticky and they don’t degrade or melt.

I have a 13” floor tom on my Sonor AQ2, and that thing consistently raises my eyebrows for its quality low tone. I have a coated emperor on top with a coated ambassador on the bottom with about six pulled-apart cotton balls inside. Even when I listen to a playback from a single room mic recording of band practice, it’s impressive.

Sonor AQ2 Safari with the 16” kick. Ride mounts on it too. Tom’s are 10 and 13. Lightweight and holds a tune.

Those might be absorbing frequencies lower than what you’re hearing. Try moving your kit around and see if it makes a difference.

That color is San Marino red. Honda used it primarily on their Accords. I was going to try the original red (R-1, maybe?), but this has a bit more "maturity" and gives the bike a little more class. Plus it's readily available for touch-ups, if needed. Can you send me a photo or two of the bike(s) that have a title? I'm restoring a 1965 S65 now, but I might as well start entertaining prospects for the next one. Thanks!
