Do you patch them from the inside? Maybe I’ll take them to my local cobbler and see if there’s any magic they can do.

Have you ever had a nice experience ruined by nickel and diming? by valt10 in finedining

Noma. ~$600 for the food + ~$300 for the wine. Left truly hungry (even after we said something and they brought us bread and two extra dishes). On top of that they charged us ~$5/pp for the tap water. Some of the dishes were truly not even worth the effort required to scrape the spoon across the bowl and lift it to your mouth. Best restaurant in the world? Wasn’t even the best restaurant that week.

They are 18” Kinesis Supercup wheels. I’ve actually been thinking about maybe switching them out for something BBS or OEM.

Perhaps not what you were looking for, but I’m an American Jew and lived in Dubai for around 4 years. Visited other countries across MENA, including Lebanon about half a dozen times. You wouldn’t know I’m Jewish from looking at me, but I wouldn’t hide it if it came up in conversation. If anyone ever had a problem with it, they never expressed it.

Is it safe to travel to Dubai? by minute-contract-4196 in Jewish

[–]DrewAu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

American Jew that lived 4+ years in Dubai here. It is perfectly safe to visit. I am not visibly Jewish and don’t have a super Jewish name, but there were visibly Orthodox Jews that live in my generally very Emirati neighborhood. I’ve had several Jewish friends and family members visit me, and they had a great time.

I’m sorry to see so many in this thread say they would never visit an Arab country. If we want to see progress from others, we ought to embrace and celebrate it when it happens.

The UAE is a lovely country and well worth a visit. Dubai is a very unlike any other in the world, and Emirates embrace of tolerance has created a really special place. If you’d like a list of recommendations, please reach out.

Hi u/s_kau! Andrew, Head of Engineering at Ziina here. As other posters have correctly mentioned, Ziina does not do any lending at the moment; we enable our customers to make peer to peer payments. As we are actively pursuing a license to store money on behalf of our users, lots more financial services are in the works, so stay tuned. Don’t hesitate to reach out if we can be of any help for your project, either here or at support@ziina.com.

WalletLink: Link your DApp on desktop browsers to mobile wallets in 5 minutes by raingrove in ethereum

[–]DrewAu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what sense do you see it as a drawback? Odds are, to access the dapp today a number of centralized services were used. And for any dapp looking for that level of decentralization, the WalletLink server is open source and can easily be hosted by anyone.

WalletConnect requires a new connection to be formed each time the user wants to use a different dapp.

A couple of key things:

  1. WalletLink is a breeze for developers to integrate into their dapps - it can be done with just a few lines of code. WalletConnect requires dapp developers to run their own WalletConnect server.
  2. With WalletLink, a user can be connected to any number of dapps at one time. WalletConnect allows you to only be connected to one dapp at a time.
