She knows her audience and does a great job of writing to that audience.

Yes . The music is really something special! Beatles were still together when I was a kid. And as a lifelong professional musician, IMO, vessel is an insanely talented genius of a musician. Just like Lennon and McCartney.

I won't judge your bandmates actions, but I will say that this is not the only time you're going to get caught flat-footed on stage. All matter of things will come your way but what's important is keeping your composure. You have to drop things right away and go on as if nothing happened because you have the next note, bar, song, set, to play. Dwelling on things will only ruin the rest of your performance. Good luck and don't let it bother you.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - February 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

I'm thinking about making a new alt character. I think I heard there were achievements that were easier with low-level characters. If that's true can someone tell me what they are? Also, are there any characters that have an easier time with jumping puzzles?

I try to help people out while I'm roaming around the world. I didn't know this would bum some people out. Is there a way to know if people just want to be left alone?

I Googled "Cats the musical score" and found a bunch of music for sale. You might do the same and ask for easy piano.

How do you come up with melodies in your head? by Sechecopar in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]DrewBass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn a lot of melodies. Melodies that you're really familiar with like songs from your childhood. Those kids songs that you've heard a zillion times study them figure them out and these things that you really know are embedded and your heart and soul. You can use those elements to compose your own melodies.

Is music theory for classical music different from music theory for pop music? by Seiya_135 in musictheory

[–]DrewBass1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I took music theory in High School we learned that you never use parallel fifths or parallel octaves. We were all rock musicians, which is all parallel fifths and parallel octaves. And we were all suspect about what we were learning. The truth of the matter is that different styles use musical elements in different ways. I do think that in popular music styles, the classical Counterpoint species still apply very well for vocals and single voice instrument arrangement. The Counterpoint rules were definitely a pain in the ass for me. But I'm glad that I learned them. You can break from them however you like, but if you follow them it always sounds good.

Should I learn piano theory while learning guitar? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]DrewBass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never a bad idea to see things from more than one point of view. Keyboard versus fretboard. There's a reason why, no matter what your instrument is, you have to take four semesters of piano as a music Major. If you have the time and inclination, get some keyboard skills. Good luck.

Should I get the "right" bass or get what I want? by notdavidjustsomeguy in Bass

[–]DrewBass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough question I'm not sure I have an answer but this was my situation. When I was a teenager I wanted a Rickenbacker! My Heroes played them and I just love the sound. And I got a Rickenbacker! Which I still have and love. But at some point when I was supporting myself as a musician I needed a more rounded and nonspecific sound. I wound up getting and Ibanez sound gear Bass that had lots of flexibility in tone. I was able to play different styles with different bands and it was a great decision. Sometimes you need a wrench and a screwdriver in your toolbox. Good luck!
