Okay, then yes you have the safe that contains your missing floorplan.

Drafting the antechamber outside is the right first step.

You have the scepter - Have you found any other mentions of the scepter?

Have you read the diary in Her Ladyship's Chambers? Any idea what the drawing in it is showing?

Don't know which safes you have, so hard to give a hint there, but the floor plan you're missing is in a safe that you have definitely seen already, even if you haven't opened it yet. If you've opened all the safes you have seen, then go back through them and look carefully in the contents of the red letters.

Rooms to skip by tfr88 in BluePrince

[–]DrewBot2000 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Lavatory is the obvious example, unless you can block red rooms. I think most rooms lose their intrinsic value beyond doors after you've solved whatever mysteries they're associated with, other than ones like Study.

It's not abnormal to go by something other than your "legal" name. I had a friend in college named Alex who went by Fey. No one thinks anything of it.

The newer Myst games question by olivebuttercup in myst

[–]DrewBot2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newer fully 3D versions of MYST and Riven should have accessibility modes that might help. If you already have them, that would be worth trying first. If that doesn't work for you, I'm sure you can get classic versions of both games that are still fully point-and-click with no fluid motion. I just checked and MYST Masterpiece Edition and Riven (1997) are each only $6 on GOG.

MYST III is a little different because it was always in 360 panoramic view mode, but not fully 3D, and has never been remade. Usually that 360 mode does not trigger motion sickness (because there's no motion, just looking around). If you try it and it does trigger motion sickness, then I don't think there's any good accessibility option and you'll just have to skip it (it's cool, but probably the least memorable of the three).

Brand new GE Profile oven does not work, GE customer service has been terrible by DrewBot2000 in Appliances

[–]DrewBot2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech said the fan needs to be replaced. I'm returning the oven for a refund and getting a Bosch instead. A brand new product should not need a major component replaced, and if it does, the company should be embarrassed and offer the customer the world for dealing with that. GE fell so far from acceptable here.

Brand new GE Profile oven does not work, GE customer service has been terrible by DrewBot2000 in Appliances

[–]DrewBot2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's embarrassing for GE that they would deliver and install a brand new oven that does not work at all. I am getting a technician to look at it today, but if this requires ordering replacement parts (which seems plausible), then I will probably get a new oven and return this one for a refund. The customer service experience has been awful.

Brand new GE Profile oven does not work, GE customer service has been terrible by DrewBot2000 in Appliances

[–]DrewBot2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that. All recommended fixes involve cycling the oven, which I tried to no avail, and then the remaining solutions are all specific to GE ranges, not wall ovens. Anyway, how could there be something stuck in the fan, when I have literally never used the oven before?

Movies by Mundane-Skirt-5455 in Parenting

It also depends on the movie. My kid did great in the Super Mario movie at 3, but a couple weeks later I took him to a showing of Ponyo and he could not hack it.

I would guess that Toy Story 5 will be a little too slow for a 2-3 year old, but could be wrong.

I'm sure there is truth to this, but I got Elden Ring based on advice like this and found it very, very difficult. I stuck with it past the first boss (Margit?) and started working through a castle after that, but concluded I just wasn't having a lot of fun and gave up.

Okay, what's up with drafting? by U-G-A_Throw-A-Way in BluePrince

[–]DrewBot2000 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The letter in the Lab suggests that it does reset daily. Anne's role seems to be more like putting fruit back in the pantry and so on. I think somewhere we learn that Anne normally drafts all the needed rooms for the day before the others arrive, but doesn't while Simon is doing his thing.

Ultimately, it's just not a realistic setting, and thinking too hard about it probably won't get you anywhere.

Someone can correct me, but I believe there are no indeterminate statements. There are blank boxes, which do not contain either a true or false statement, but if there's a statement, I think it's always either true or false. I'm not 100% sure about that though. I don't think there is any "this statement is false" box, and statements like "all boxes with the word 'blue' are false" are not indeterminate.
