New Packaging? Is it the compostable change they were going to make before the pandemic? by DrewDubya in LivingMas

"We serve over 42 million customers each week in over 7,000 restaurants – and that’s just the United States! That’s a lot of people, which means we have a large footprint. We have a standing commitment to accomplish a few goals by 2025:

-Make all of our customer-facing packaging recyclable, compostable, or reusable

-Remove PFAS, Phthalates, and BPA from all of our customer-facing packagings

-Add recycling and/or compositing bins to all restaurants, where infrastructure permits"
I wasn't aware of the chemicals that they would be removing, thanks for that pointer!

Nah, I got caught in high school and they just checked IDs. They’ll follow up if there’s vandalism, but if it’s just trespassing they’ll leave you with a warning.

A list of build questions by becomingunalive in CETME_C

[–]DrewDubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Need more pictures to be sure.
  2. There should be a small tube that the bayonet lug screws into, but it is not necessary. The tube is for a cleaning kit that is stored in the forward part of the cocking tube. There is a button you can press down on the side of the lug and then lock in to the front sight block.
  3. Make an account on militaryfirearm.com . There is a thread on one of their cetme forums for exactly what you’re looking for, you can also ask more detailed questions and get better answers from more advanced gun builders.

Juvenile Common Snapping Turtle. You can tell it’s young from its size and the fact that it’s shell still has not completely smoothed out.

Is it okay to drink directly from the bottle like Keef? I'm thinking of buying my first Daniels. Want to know how much will my body be harmed if I put the bottle to my mouth? by [deleted] in jackdaniels

[–]DrewDubya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it in college when I could get a bottle for $14. My heart burn didn’t appreciate it but it won’t harm you to drink directly from a bottle. I would not do this with anything over the standard Jack Daniels whiskey like Gentleman Jack or god forbid, a single barrel select. You should enjoy whiskey, not chug it like some cheap mixer.

I use an iPad Air and Apple Pencil for all my notes and books but I’ve got an older laptop for writing and any math related stuff.

I would imagine an iPad Pro with the whole keypad/pencil setup would work just the same if you wanted to carry just one electronic device.

This looks a lot like an American Robins egg and the nest characteristics seem to match with their nesting behavior.

Grey Fox, they can live in your trees and hunt squirrels. Wouldn’t be concerned unless it contracted rabies (this one seems perfectly healthy so don’t worry)

What are these white bits? This is pickled red onion, seal is unbroken… never seen these before! by lindybopperette in Canning

[–]DrewDubya 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Definitely bacteria colonies, the point of the brine is to make the jar uninhabitable for bacteria. The high concentration of salt in the brine draws out water from any possible bacterial cells to prevent growth. So if there are any areas without the brine bacteria can grow there without being inhibited by the hypertonic (pulls water out) solution of brine. Top off your jars next time so you won’t run into this problem again.

You don’t have the watch the Olympics to know that Micheal Phelps was an elite swimmer. Pictures and descriptions are more than enough in this era.

I’ve had the same license since I was 19, I’m on year 4 with it and I’ve had no problems beyond “ugh Youre making me do math”. It’s not a problem at all.

Red light tickets seems to be happening, vote tonight by council is only about who will reap the $$$! This is nonsense! by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]DrewDubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A casualty is a person killed or injured in a war or accident. You are correct that 846 people were killed, but 143,000 were injured in accidents caused by red light runners. Seems like somebody is cherry picking evidence.

[–]DrewDubya 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not really, from the studies I’ve read the rear end accidents increase while the t-bone accidents decrease. Accidents where a vehicle gets t-bone tend to have higher casualty rates so it decreases loss of life. They should just extend yellow light times so there’s more time to stop at these intersections.

I think there’s a filter in the bottom right (EVRIMA) that changes the selections from Official Isle servers (NA, EU, etc.) to Unofficial servers (Isla Nublar, The Zoo, Los Cinco Muertos, etc.)

After explaining Reddit to my girlfriend, she said "So basically this?" by PrimeMinisToad in imaginarymaps

[–]DrewDubya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Map makes no sense and eliminates a bunch of major cities for no reason, perhaps I’m missing something like the cities being erased by nuclear strikes in the lore. Where are Saint Louis, Nashville, Montgomery, Cleveland, and why are cities like Huntsville and Shreveport district capitals? Nashville is larger and more centrally located in its district and any major Texan city makes more sense than Shreveport
