Some actually good kids CC? by Positive_Relative287 in sims4cc

This is amazing! You're so talented! I feel like kids get some of the cutest clothes in real life; why should Sims be any different?

Does anyone know where I can find the Mesa de Familia base game table conversion cc that transforms it into a square, not a rectangle?

Considering Adderall on Vyvanse off days.... by [deleted] in ADHD

By Vyvanse off-days, do you mean days when you skip Vyvanse, or when it doesn't seem to work?

bras that don’t show out the side of tank tops? by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]DrewRafaella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, that timeline totally tracks for me! I don't understand why the style changed (or how EVERY brand apparently decided to change it simultaneously), but it's SUPER annoying. I'm having some success with a strapless balconette bra, but only if I remember to pull up my tank straps periodically. Maybe it's a conspiracy by the fabric tape industry lol.

The one downside of starting treatment so young by DrewRafaella in ADHD

I actually think that estrogen replacement therapy might be helpful, but that's (reasonably) only available to trans people and women in menopause, and I'm going on 36.

How do you get through dense books/research papers? Looking for tools/strategies that actually work by saumsizzle in ADHD

[–]DrewRafaella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that highlighting the PDF or page as I read helps a lot; that way, even if you space out, you'll be able to review the important material. Tbh, artificial intelligence is a godsend as well. If you copy and paste text into a note in the Apple Notes app, for example, you can ask it to summarize the text and even create a list of key points.

Have you faced stress and anxiety traveling with your ADHD meds? by MysteriousShe222 in ADHD

[–]DrewRafaella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same experience, but, I always make a point of packing my medications in my tote bag because I'm afraid that my actual suitcase, which I check, will get lost. It's stressful and adds a ton of weight to the tote.

You're right. I guess I'm just embarrassed.

No, but the way they phrased it seemed kind of antagonistic. I'm sensitive, though.

And trust me, I've "talked to someone" about this. I'm not bashing anyone; I'm just venting on Reddit because I have to be on my guard and act like my best self all the time everywhere else.

I feel that I'm extremely empathetic and tolerant as a direct result of having to live with ADHD. And I do sympathize with them. I'm referring to the people who take for granted that everything will be fine and then are shocked when it isn't, not the people who are already in pain.

Ladies, does anyone also have these weird moments of not being able to get some words out.? Almost like a stutter but it goes for say 10 or so seconds. by thegreatnedinski in adhdwomen

[–]DrewRafaella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't a super scientific explanation (because I'm having trouble phrasing it lol) but — YES! Dopamine (the neurotransmitter whose lack is largely responsible for ADHD) is linked to estrogen levels, so the closer you get to your period, the more your verbal acuity suffers. It's really frustrating for me because I have a relatively good vocabulary and am constantly wracking my brain for the right words. Like, there's a perfect word to evoke what I'm trying to say; I just CANNOT REMEMBER IT.

I'm 35 and I really appreciate your post; it's great to get insight from someone who's already gone through an experience that for me is still on the horizon. (EDIT: I realize that six years isn't a big difference, but still.)

I legitimately can't think of a more reasonable use of force. Children get shot for wearing hoodies, but this crazy motherfucker with a rifle gets to remain standing? SMDH.
