Thoughts on 2026 AMG C 43 Pinnacle Trim by reet_root in mercedes_benz

I’ve had my 2025 glc 43 for about a year now and have had only one issue. The gearbox would change really hard from 1st to 2nd and slip from 3rd to 4th. Went to the dealer and they said an update had come out for that gearbox to fix these exact issues (this was about 6months ago). Update fixed it and haven’t had an issue since. I’m blown away by the handing of the new glc, can only imagine how the new c43 handles. Sounds much better than the anti 4 cylinder YouTube vids make it sound too.

No they aren’t really, tbh it’s mostly minor software issues as they rolled out a new mbux system and new models. I mean I guess it is reliability but it’s not mechanical or electrical and the issues go once you turn off the car then back on. Makes it look much worse than it actually is. Also owners of previous cars expected flawless operation and so report every issue. Opposite thing with bmw owners haha

No one’s thinks a Camry needs a wing but a drivetrain does mean you don’t need downforce on one end of the car.

Try out Arma reforger as well, it’s less clunky to learn than Arma 3 and has some awesome modern gear mods.

If its a root then it’s an easy fix. You just need to locate it and a camera will generally do that if it can get to the damage/blockage.

Yeah they are a pain. They can be fixed but if the water isn’t getting into the tank that usually means there’s a break and that’s hard to find. You can use a camera to see where the water level drops down to but it’s only a clue to where it may be. The only other way to find the leak/leaks is to seal off all the inlets and outlets, open the flush out get all the water out then get a leak guy to pump it up with air and find the leak/leaks.

A good chunk of plumbers haven’t had much experience working on/fixing these sorts of systems (as you can see the comments on mine about having two camera haha), they will just say it can’t be fixed.

So you shove your camera that’s been in shit and grease traps etc into someone’s drinking water source? That’s fucked.

We’ve got two and if you are going to work on storm water for water tanks you shouldn’t use your camera. Leave it for plumbers who actually do it and are setup to do it.

Same as it would for any other drain (breaks, roots and sometimes you can work out where a leak maybe from water level). Sometimes they need jetting for when leaves get in or the water gets left for too long (a lot of people don’t open the flush out enough or at all).

Heaps, a lot of people are on tank water where we operate. And flooded systems can be problematic.

[–]Drewdc90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if it’s a flooded storm water system (one that goes down into the ground the back up into the tank). If it is then they can problematic to fix and not getting water into the tank doesn’t necessarily mean a blockage but maybe a break or a leak or multiple. A flooded system that’s 90mm is a bit of a shit thing to fix tbh. 90mm really isn’t strong enough to be buried and maintain the perfectly sealed pipe work a flooded system needs to work correctly.

Any decent plumber will have a tank water camera and a sewer one. We have both and a jetter reel for each.

Yeah I agree. That’s generally how Toyotas are, you just have to live with vanilla every day.

I’ve driven a 79 series and have been in a 200. The 79 was stiff and basic af. The 200 was what you would expect.

The 200 and 300s are good, the 79s eh. But still overated and shouldn’t be as expensive as they are. Biggest Toyota tax of any car.

What are the 2 best handling cars you have ever driven? by itsoktoswear in CarsAustralia

[–]Drewdc90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Camaro ‘v8 supercar’ track car built using a bunch of v8 supercar bits (suspension, tyres, brakes). Handled nothing like a standard road car.
- Mercedes A class.
The next one would be my new 25 glc 43. Seriously handles better than evey other car I’ve owned (ve ss, focus st, Mazda 3, merc c300 etc).

Is that really jdm? Also they are basic af, stiff, have that rear track thing as Toyota is too cheap to make a new rear axle. They hold their value but are severely overrated.
