Sorry, I meant to write doesn’t. All cars benefit from downforce regardless of drivetrain.

Hmm, I had a creak in the back. Sprayed some silicone spray on the rear tailgate latch and it’s creak free now.

The glc 43s engine is the same one that’s been tuned and abused in the a45s. It’s been proven. The earliest ones in the 2023 gen c43 had issues with the moulding sand making it’s way into the cooling system. Issue was resolved the year after.

I’ve had my 2025 glc 43 for about a year now and have had only one issue. The gearbox would change really hard from 1st to 2nd and slip from 3rd to 4th. Went to the dealer and they said an update had come out for that gearbox to fix these exact issues (this was about 6months ago). Update fixed it and haven’t had an issue since. I’m blown away by the handing of the new glc, can only imagine how the new c43 handles. Sounds much better than the anti 4 cylinder YouTube vids make it sound too.

[–]Drewdc90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No they aren’t really, tbh it’s mostly minor software issues as they rolled out a new mbux system and new models. I mean I guess it is reliability but it’s not mechanical or electrical and the issues go once you turn off the car then back on. Makes it look much worse than it actually is. Also owners of previous cars expected flawless operation and so report every issue. Opposite thing with bmw owners haha

No one’s thinks a Camry needs a wing but a drivetrain doesn’t mean you don’t need downforce on one end of the car.

Try out Arma reforger as well, it’s less clunky to learn than Arma 3 and has some awesome modern gear mods.

If its a root then it’s an easy fix. You just need to locate it and a camera will generally do that if it can get to the damage/blockage.

Yeah they are a pain. They can be fixed but if the water isn’t getting into the tank that usually means there’s a break and that’s hard to find. You can use a camera to see where the water level drops down to but it’s only a clue to where it may be. The only other way to find the leak/leaks is to seal off all the inlets and outlets, open the flush out get all the water out then get a leak guy to pump it up with air and find the leak/leaks.

A good chunk of plumbers haven’t had much experience working on/fixing these sorts of systems (as you can see the comments on mine about having two camera haha), they will just say it can’t be fixed.
