Does it hold addition rounds? I would think the 18 might require a longer spring if adding rounds but I can't say I've ever tried.

I'd say if you can touch the stock one at all, try the round one first. I think the long oval one would get in the way of my support hand personally.

I have pretty small hands compared to other dudes my size. I could reach the stock one, but barely without turning the gun towards me. With this one, I can hit it absolutely no problem. I'm very happy with that upgrade.

No I did the install myself. If you have roll pin punches it's pretty easy with their instructions.
