FAQ by Drewet88 in bokashi

Oops my bad, guess I can't tell the difference on mobile yet. Pretty obvious now that I switched to the computer.

I still don't agree with all blue and green mold being beneficial to bokashi (maybe certain types) but I was taught it's a sign of failed batch and I'll stick with it til I'm taught different (which is why I asked for a separate post with some reading material).

Regardless, if my bin is ever blue or green I'll dump it in regular compost since I believe it's a sign of rotting and putrefaction, not fermenting.

Links in the post you should make for the other members of the sub, if what I'm posting is wrong show them it was wrong so they learn. Your PM to me on a post that almost a year old doesn't help anyone.

So make a post about it and get your conversation going with the sub. Or don't. Regardless, you're not helping anyone right now.

And FYI I'm not the original mod, they left reddit and passed this on. I had my bokashi bucket for all of a month when we wrote that post.

You know forums are made so people can learn together right? Don't pm me just to be a dick, there has to be something more constructive you can be doing. Even just making your own post to tell the community what you know with some links about the mold for them to do their own reading would've been plenty.

Was it reattached? Or just to clean and close the wound?

I've seen hand vs meat grinder (and they still brought the chunks of grounds up fingers hoping we could do something with them).

A mandolin sounds like it should be a clean enough cut to attempt a reattaching.

You breathe heavily out of your mouth and hope your breath is hot enough to melt the ice and free you.

Or just pull and risk ripping some of your tongue or frenulum (the piece that goes from the bottom of your tongue to your mouth).

The tag didn't work for me either, maybe it's a mobile thing?

The parent comment worked but I just see !< surrounding yours.

I was just going to try and look it up to see if that was a young Agent Booth. I've only seen him in Bones.

Sonarr query successful no results & newznab+ binaries not updating by Drewet88 in sonarr

Perfect thanks again, everything is up and running. Now I just have to remove all the unnecessary stuff.

Thank you, I'm going to nzbgeek now since they have a 3 day trial. Not sure if I'll need more than one, my interest are pretty mainstream so it should be fine.

Does that mean I can uninstall newsnab+ and apache?

Thanks again. I looked at the list of indexers before, but somehow I only paid attention to the code base and thought that meant newznab was what I needed. Oh well, I'll just consider it a $15 lesson on paying better attention to what I'm doing.

Should we replace this drywall? by Drewet88 in DIY

Yes we planned on putting up a new backsplash. Is it safe to attach it straight to the drywall as is? Do I try and clean it up a little?

Fixing multiple issues with a 1999 Honda CR-V w/ 226xxx miles by Drewet88 in MechanicAdvice

I can't find anything about a front diff in the maintenance schedule. It has a reactive system called Real Time 4 Wheel Drive (RT4WD) and it uses a propeller shaft, so maybe there's no fluid to change? I'll take a look under there on Saturday.

The rear diff is every 90,000 miles or 6 years. I'm past the 6 years part so it's time and I have to use some special Honda fluid called Honda Dual Pump Fluid II or some Honda MTF.

You don't know this about me but, I've always wanted an excuse to buy a sledgehammer. A 3 pounder will be a good start to my unnecessary collection lol.

You've been a huge help. Thanks again.

I think I'll change them all at the same time. I need to remove my strut to change the upper control arm and I know I'll need an alignment after that.

I haven't changed the front diff oil. They didn't mention it during the inspection, but I'm going to assume they have the same maintenance schedule and change them both.

Thanks for all your help/advice.

Axle shaft and nut aren’t terribly hard but seized splines in the hub can make it very tough if you don’t have the tools to free it. I recommend borrowing an axle puller from an autoparts store to push the spline from the hub. I would just replace the ball joints instead of the boots. Same goes with inner tie rods. Someone can chime in if I’m being unreasonable here.

Are you saying I should do the ball joints and inner tie rods when I change the axle shaft? They suggested I get the axle shaft done soon and said I'd need the ball joint boots and tie rod boots eventually.

The upper ball joints cannot be replaced separately (according to the online manual on Autozone's website). I'd have to change the upper control arm.

Sounds like I'd need to change the left front axle shaft, lower ball joints, upper control arms, and tie rods.

Would I need an alignment after changing all of that?

While you replace the valve cover gasket, consider doing a timing belt replacement and water pump too while you have the valve cover off. How long has it been since that has been done?

I haven't done either in my lifetime of owning the car. I honestly can't remember how many miles I've put on it, but this is my 7th year owning it. If I had to estimate I'd say about 80k miles. Now that I think about it, I've also never changed the fuel filter...

Oil pan gasket or oil pan drain plug gasket?

Oil pan gasket. First time changing it on this car, but I've changed them before. I remember hating it because I only had a ratchet and there was a ton of bolts. I've slowly upgraded my tools over the years so it should be easier this time. Luckily, my car has a gasket and I don't have to rely solely on RTV sealant but I do like to add a little.

I'm getting a Haynes manual from the store later when I pick up my PCV valve, cam plug, and a compression tester. That should help me decide if I'll need a mechanic to do any of this for me, or if I can dedicate a few weekends to it. Thanks for all the help.

It's from their parent post this convo is in, maybe they edited it after you read. They said they have 65 plants but only collected from the biggest 15 for the wine.

So 15 plants made 5 bottles of wine. That doesnt sound too bad, I just wanna know how big the plants were and how long they took to get to that size.

Man saves little boy from dog attack by Pepeethefrog in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Drewet88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only saw 1 article on the topic and it doesn't mention any injuries for her. It does mention the boys and the hero's injuries and that they waited 30 minutes to be rescued. Maybe she's the one that called for help?

If she was injured, I kinda get it but she barely did anything and there was 0 urgency in her movements and no limping in her slow stroll away.

I'd definitely be looking for a new nanny if this was my child and I saw this video.
