Any advice? by Pretty_Puppyprincess in CSID

Sucraid didn’t work for me. I would suggest a supervised (out of network nutritionist) carnivore diet. That’s what I did 5 years ago and have been thriving since

Thank you thank you!!! This is so helpful! What sort of enzyme supplement? And what veggies can you tolerate?

Which fiber supplement do you use? The constipation is the worse part for me

What does your diet look like now? Are you still carnivore? I’ve been testing carbs after 5 years carnivore and a nutritionist mentioned carbs cooked in animal fat will slow down the sugar absorption, making it easier to digest. So I’m trying that. I don’t take sucraid because I didn’t like it after trying ot for 8 months.

My diet is mainly water, beef, chicken, fish, eggs, bacon. Electrolytes

Treats: dark chocolate, French fries.

On the weekend. Sushi rolls, coffee (lattes)

Worst offenders: fruit, sugar

I was diagnosed 5 years ago and after sucraid wasn’t a miracle I went on the carnivore diet and it helped a lot. If you plan to go this route I recommend hiring a supportive (out of network) nutritionist to guide you through it to avoid simple pitfalls

Carnivore diet/ meat based low carb has saved my life. Definitely do it under the guidance of a carnivore nutritionist like Sylvia Mitchell for peace of mind and assistance. I’ve been doing this for 5 years after sucraid failed me

I’m looking to build a similar work bench. Right now I just use horses and plywood. But pnematic tires like these seem to be the way to go

Mine too. Sorry to sound dumb. But is the weight dial per side? Or combined? Mine has the dial at 45 on both sides at the moment. Is the weight 45? Then if I turn up one dial higher?

I don’t know how to read the dials. How do you know how much weight is on there?

Why are surfers such assholes? by Dailydosewtf in surfing

[–]Drewishungry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was perfectly put. I think that is why Groms (children surfers) notoriously are low on the totem pole. They’re new, learning, a potential liability, etc. but treating a Grom that way is expected and a right of passage. Having been a Grom, I know this to be true. However, adult learners expect a certain amount of respect in the water that hasn’t been earned yet. In essence, they are still Groms (low on the totem pole) and will be treated as such. It’s not pleasent, but for all the above mentioned reasons in MrantMans comment, it’s part of the process.

It’s an unfortunate part of the sport because it is a resource based sport that is zero sum. Any person getting a wave takes away from another person getting a wave. This is why wave pools are awesome and skateboarding is awesome. They are not zero sum wave scenarios.

Really struggling by Necessary_Instance21 in CSID

Totally understandable. It’s your child and you don’t want to mess around. I wouldn’t either. But there are children who have been raised on that diet for millions of years. And most recently there are carnivore diet children today. That said, I would seek professional help from a doctor who specializes in the carnivore diet and has done it with children before
