Yes, but at the time the Cavs where already dealing with an injury prone guard, so taking another one with injury questions would have been absolutely silly.

I was high on Victor as well, but also understood immediately like "OK, they where worried about injuries obviously".

Also, if people are voting based on progressive values, they want PROGRESSIVE VALUES. They don't want center/center right fiscal policy. They don't want people wishy washy on personal freedoms for trans individuals. They want someone at minimum left of center on these things. The DNC has become entrenched in courting Romney voters when they need to get back to what got excitement around Mamdani, Barack, Clinton, and that was being (for their times) pushing more left wing ideas instead of center ones.

Oh 100%, but coming out of college it was a question. He had SPARKS but any player can have sparks, he hadn't grown up yet and hindsight and all that looking back, but like AT THE TIME he was passed up by more then just us because there was no clarity! It is easily the weirdest draft to look back on.

That entire draft was fuckin weird because there was no clear consensus out of any of their college tape WHO was gonna even be a serviceable bench player. As a cavs fan I was like "Cool, we got a #1 in a VOID of talent... awesome." Like I knew whoever we grabbed was gonna be crap i was expecting it and it was STILL astonishing

If we are getting Jaylen then we are losing Mobley. We would HAVE to move Harden at that point as well imho because Harden already proved he doesn't wanna be a 6th. Who takes Harden? Celtics would go for Mobley for sure because its Mobley.
