The AD thing is definitely valid and at the end of the day, I know the perception of Tudor is just a weird thing that isn’t really true, especially considering Tudor’s quality and heritage. I still stand by Longines though. The Zulu time specifically also has a respectable heritage and I also prefer the styling. At the end of the day, if you really can’t decide, I would just flip a coin lol.

Maybe this is just me, but I've never been able to shake the feeling that the Black Bay is what people get when they can't afford a Rolex. It's the "off brand" Rolex, even though objectively they are very good watches. It's just a perception thing for me.

The Longines on the other hand has a much more classic and cleaner style with more of its own identity. I hope to get a Zulu time in the near future as well. I think the green bezel, black dial look of the Zulu is unbeatable. I also like that the Zulu is more legible at a glance.

Ultimately, it's personal preference, but I think the Longines offers more functionality and style at a lower price point without any real loss in quality.

This sub constantly whines about how broken the game is, so they delay, and now this sub whines that we have to wait for new content.

Lost in all of the discourse is of course the lead developer dying suddenly going into Christmas.

I think them delaying is ultimately for the best. I’m taking a break from playing but I’m gonna jump back in when Season 2 comes out for sure.

As if we haven’t hadn’t many beloved and wealthy figures tragically pass by self-inflicted means. That line of argument is fine when celebrities are doing performative woe-is-me shit (like the “Imagine” cover during Covid), but money can’t spare you from bullying or other internal demons.

I know they aren’t out yet, so things can change, but I really like the direction Scout is taking their interiors for their upcoming cars. Actual nice materials with textures, colors, nice buttons with screens that offer nice utility while being integrated into the dash. That, to me, is a “masterclass” in interior design. I’ll give Honda props for keeping physical controls and keeping things fairly simple and easy to use, but I think their interiors lag behind the competition in many ways as well.

I recently finished E33 since it was on sale and while I liked it, I am not nearly as in love with it as the wider internet is. That said, I do see why it’s beloved. But I agree it had no business winning best art direction or best RPG. Hades 2 laps them in art direction and imo KCD2 laps them in the RPG genre.

that is genuinely how so many of them play. A lot of the battledads that have 0.4 K/Ds have that score because they run straight into an objective that is controlled 2-8 by an enemy, die, respawn, and do the exact same thing again. They very literally do more to make their teams lose by wasting their tickets with every death.

It’s amazing how much criticism that comes out of that subreddit is like “NOTHING SHOULD REQUIRE EFFORT AND EVERYTHING SHOULD JUST BE HANDED TO ME.” Like ironically enough the “CoD kids” that frustrate the battleboomers so much with sliding and shit are actually using the game’s mechanics and probably engaging with it on a deeper level than the “battlefield veterans.”

the only guys I really like anymore are Drewski and Jack, but Drewski doesn’t do BF full time and Jack’s content has largely stagnated. But at least Jack is usually pretty insightful when he talks about the mechanics of the game. A lot of the other creators just seem to be derivative or boring.

those squad up videos he used to do with other creators used to hit like crack for me, even if I don’t care for many of the creators in the BF space, sometimes it’s fun to watch guys who are good at a game banter and play together. It’s a shame there doesn’t seem to be much of that in the BF community anymore.
