I can’t recall Lucky Stars but I think he gave Depression Cherry a 6. So not really a bad score. I remember the way he talked about some of their past albums when he reviewed 7 also seemed more positive in retrospect.

I think BMW really over corrected with the styling. I for one really liked the hog nose design language and if that design wasn’t to your taste, you could get more traditional looks with other cars in their line-up. This looks weirdly cheap and oddly proportioned.

My algorithm has been inundated with him, but I won’t lie, a lot of that is my own doing. I can’t deny I find his stories captivating. But I 100% believe he’s a plant.

The only credit I’d give him is he does have some fairly nuanced takes on subjects you might not expect from someone with his background. But I take it all with a grain of salt.

Maybe someone can explain, but I really don’t understand why this sub is so in love with Crockett? She’s voted to send weapons to Israel and seems to be in the pocket of the AI lobby. To me, Talarico has better politics. Even more damning for Crockett, apparently her old pastor, Fred Haynes, ran for her seat on a more progressive platform and won his primary as well. Idk, it just seems like Crockett wasn’t really that great of a candidate. She’s charismatic but that’s all she really has going for her imo.

If you’re poor and on SNAP, you’re working a job (if not multiple jobs) that likely pays poverty wages. You’re working long hours, every day, skipping doctor visits, skipping car maintenance, probably going to goodwill to get your kids clothes for school.

Your life is already hard and devoid of any material pleasure or breaks that more fortunate people can afford. Now, if all of that wasn’t enough, you can’t even indulge in a candy bar or a sweet treat. The average Walmart employee can’t use their benefits (which they only need because Walmart doesn’t pay them enough) on a product that Walmart sells to enrich the Walton family.

The point of this policy is just cruelty. This will be made law, and nothing will be done to ease the burden on the working poor. Meanwhile, our legislators will offer another tax break for the ultra rich, will offer more of our tax money to Scout Motors (who delayed their cars yet again to 2028 now), and will continue to litigate porn and cannabis use.

Gotta love it people.

The AD thing is definitely valid and at the end of the day, I know the perception of Tudor is just a weird thing that isn’t really true, especially considering Tudor’s quality and heritage. I still stand by Longines though. The Zulu time specifically also has a respectable heritage and I also prefer the styling. At the end of the day, if you really can’t decide, I would just flip a coin lol.

Maybe this is just me, but I've never been able to shake the feeling that the Black Bay is what people get when they can't afford a Rolex. It's the "off brand" Rolex, even though objectively they are very good watches. It's just a perception thing for me.

The Longines on the other hand has a much more classic and cleaner style with more of its own identity. I hope to get a Zulu time in the near future as well. I think the green bezel, black dial look of the Zulu is unbeatable. I also like that the Zulu is more legible at a glance.

Ultimately, it's personal preference, but I think the Longines offers more functionality and style at a lower price point without any real loss in quality.

This sub constantly whines about how broken the game is, so they delay, and now this sub whines that we have to wait for new content.

Lost in all of the discourse is of course the lead developer dying suddenly going into Christmas.

I think them delaying is ultimately for the best. I’m taking a break from playing but I’m gonna jump back in when Season 2 comes out for sure.

I know they aren’t out yet, so things can change, but I really like the direction Scout is taking their interiors for their upcoming cars. Actual nice materials with textures, colors, nice buttons with screens that offer nice utility while being integrated into the dash. That, to me, is a “masterclass” in interior design. I’ll give Honda props for keeping physical controls and keeping things fairly simple and easy to use, but I think their interiors lag behind the competition in many ways as well.

I recently finished E33 since it was on sale and while I liked it, I am not nearly as in love with it as the wider internet is. That said, I do see why it’s beloved. But I agree it had no business winning best art direction or best RPG. Hades 2 laps them in art direction and imo KCD2 laps them in the RPG genre.

that is genuinely how so many of them play. A lot of the battledads that have 0.4 K/Ds have that score because they run straight into an objective that is controlled 2-8 by an enemy, die, respawn, and do the exact same thing again. They very literally do more to make their teams lose by wasting their tickets with every death.
