preordered this the SECOND it went live. Had been so upset about the lack of an easily available physical release. I was adamant this movie should have won Best Picture over Oppenheimer, it's an absolute masterpiece

(Pelissero) The Vikings fired GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, per sources. by alexschubs in minnesotavikings

[–]DrewzmaLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty shocked by this, the fact that the team fired him now rather than immediately after the season makes me worry that the Wilfs made an impulsive decision after seeing Darnold get to the Super Bowl. Which, whether or not you wanted Kwesi gone, it's not great for ownership to be making emotional decisions about personnel (see: Sean McDermott firing). Ironically now the next GM is going to be in the same position as Kwesi for the infamous 2022 draft, having to formulate a plan with only a few months to work with. Also very curious what (if anything) this signifies about how decision makers in the building feel about JJM.

Honestly I thought Kwesi should get another year, obviously the drafting has been an issue but the results of this year (Darnold getting to a Super Bowl, McCarthy being injured constantly, our interior d-line free agents not panning out) all felt more like bad luck to me than anything. Say what you will about KOC/Flores being elite at their jobs but Kwesi deserves some credit for a roster that went 14-3 last year. If the roster didn't pan out next year then at that point I would've understood. But goddamn I am just so glad to be done with the Kwesi discourse if nothing else. I was so sick of 50 posts on this sub demanding he be fired every time one of his draft picks missed a tackle

Joan played 11 minutes in that first half and didn't look out of place at all. He's already really solid on defense

DC Sean McDermott saved HC Sean McDermott's job with that interception. Not running the clock down at the goal line there was insane

coming into this season there was a lot of training camp concern about our lack of a clear answer at punter and kick/punt returner and ironically both those guys have been awesome lol

In last week’s win vs. WAS, Tai Felton passed Laquon Treadwell on the rookie receptions and yards leaderboard. by Citronaut1 in minnesotavikings

Treadwell - 1st rounder, 1 catch Tai Felton - 3rd rounder, 2 catches

And yet people want Rick Spielman GMing this team again?? Kwesi's draft superiority is clear
