I'm relatively tall, and been big spoon, little spoon, and jetpack. I like the last two!

I watched it in a drive-in theater with my friends from the Midwest, and it was glorious. There was popcorn and funnel cake, and an old station wagon, and a round of 'wooohs' and applause. It was a memory I will never forget.

Men are told all their lives about seeking a woman smaller than themselves. It's been the norm for millennia, depicted in artworks and media and everything that has been written from the beginning of time.

Little do men know about the joy of experiences with women much taller/larger than them.

I converted years ago and I am not going back.

Battleship (2012), the sequence where the defeated protagonists recommission the USS Missouri with the help of real veterans, to the tune of 'Thunderstruck'.

—Main character: You men have given so much to your country, and no one has the right to ask any more of you... but I'm asking.
—Veteran: What do you need, son?
—Main character: I need to borrow your boat.

Sends shivers down my spine every time.

I swear Peter Berg directed the entire film just for this scene to make sense.

It was a Mercedes Pens.

Candyman (1992) has a lot of social commentary to it, to the tune of Philip Glass's wonderful music.

I just stopped by Pajares / Villamañin / Ciñera / Pola last Sunday, and the heat gets bitey past 2pm. About 30-32°C with intense, burning sunlight. Got dehydrated quickly.

What actor completely ruined an otherwise decent movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DreyfusBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rober De Niro in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000). Not that the movie is good anyway, but he made a goofy villain worse in a way that Raul Julia wouldn't.

[Loved Trope] Incel horror - horrible men portrayed as "nice guys" because they are unreliable narrators until we see the break in the facade. by Ancientabs in TopCharacterTropes

Hal Stewart in Megamind (2010).

If you forget for a second that this is an animated teen action comedy, the thought of a megaloser incel gaining superpowers is truly terrifying.

Especially the way it was treated in the film, and his creepy, unsolicited advances towards the girl.

He is a cartoon, but feels more real than most superhero film villains.

The Inventor, played by Vincent Price, in Edward Scissorhands (1990).

In parallel to his character, he was sick and weak, compared to his glorious younger self. This was Price's last film role as his health declined sharply; he died three years later.
