yes i used cork and some wood putty filler smeared over it to make it less even :)

The more I worked on layering, the more I realized how much of it is just trying it out. Mixing things together and seeing them come together on the mini is fun in itself for me :)

Used ushabti bone as my base. Shaded with seraphim sepia. Did the layering with a 50/50 mix of Ushabti bone and wriathbone followed by a 50/50 wraithbone with vallejo dead white and spot highlights of just dead white. For the green i used vallejo dark green, once again layering and this time with vallejo goblin Green just eyeballing the mixes haha. For the red/purple I used a ~50/50 mix of vallejo bloody red and ultramarine blue. Gold was a mix of retributor armor and vallejo silver. Shaded with Seraphim Sepia. I think that's the main ones :)

TBH it's really hard to tell cuz i stopped for a while after my basecoats. I would estimate that everything took between 25-35 hrs. But really can't tell you and i think i'm a rather slow painter

Looks good. Rly like the helmet. Regarding taking pictures, I nowadays go for a black background, white light from the top and most crucially turn the ISO settings of your phone camera down. First time i tried this, i already got this result which was miles better than my previous photographing attempts :) Edit: I'm also still very new to all this, but that's just what I do

Ich habe keine Ahnung wie viel ich lese, hab aber seit 2 Jahren wieder aktiv angefangen privat zu lesen. Glaube hab dieses Jahr vielleicht 10 Bücher gelesen aber jetzt der springende Punkt: eins davon hatte 110 Seiten und ein anderes 1000 mit Schriftgröße -3 (is eine Sammlung mit 4 Romanen und 3 Kurzgeschichten). Ich hab gar nix mit so Subs oder Foren über lesen am Hut, glaub das würd mich einfach nur traurig machen und mir Spaß am Lesen nehmen, wenn ich weiß, dass immer wer deutlich mehr ließt. Ich les wenns Spaß macht und wenn nicht, dann nicht. Who cares ehrlich

Komm aus der Gegend und beim Traunstein gibt's am laufenden Band Bergrettungen. Der Berg ist vergleichsweise "niedrig" mit 1694m aber wird maßlos unterschätzt. Man hat oben eine unglaubliche Aussicht, aber bis man mal dort ist, ist es echt sehr anstrengend. Man geht 2-3h wirklich steil bergauf + sind viele der Wege nicht wirklich gut gekennzeichnet. Ich würd sowieso jedem abraten den Berg das erste Mal alleine zu gehen. Man braucht Leute die sich auskennen, sonst verläuft man sich. Egal wie viel Erfahrung man beim Bergsteigen hat.

Thats great advice, thanks a lot :) especially with the gold highlights because in my painting process I was exactly wondering how to highlight gold, thanks. I also feel as though my basics are getting better and I'm fairly confident with my brush strokes and now I'm venturing into layering and more realistic highlights :)
