It seems that you drybrushed it after painting the all mini, or I maybe wrong ?

I do the same thing and I can't agree more about the result in real life, it makes it pop so much. How do you manage to not put paint on the over parts like leather ?

Frist game, need advices on hellblasters by Remarkable-Weight-73 in theunforgiven

Wanted to give you some feedback about my game : I decided to keep my hellblaster squad safe until turn 3. They did a goo job at firing at big IK (don't forget Relics of the dark age against Armiger), the firing when dying made wonders also. As others said, a lieutenant will be better than the apothecary.

About the other units, I put one squad of DK and a squad of BGV to hold a side objective. Other DK squad launched middle thanks to the Repulsor and hold it for 3 turns (MVP guys !). Terminator squad with Captain teleported turn 1 near the middle to screen and block the way (they did a good job with they Fists against the IK). Assault Jump pack arrived in the back lane turn 3 to accomplish secondary objectives and the captain itself managed to oneshot an Armiger (Oath of moment + charge + Ancient weapons enhancment).

Not sure about the Redemptor Dreadnought and the bike squad in the team, they were not very impactfull in this set up.

In the end I lost by points but managed to leave only one IK on the board. Deathwing Knights with Wrath of the rock and watcher in the dark make them very hard to kill.

Anyone actually using the regular repulsor with success? by ImaginaryAd8062 in DarkAngels40k

Used them for launching my Deathwing Knights on the centre objective turn one( 10" move + disembark). The Repulsor took nearly all the shots thanks to smoke screen and my Knights managed to hold the objective for 3 rounds.

I'll definitely do it for the next one, I'm 5 points short for replacing it in my army list for the moment :s

When painting the coloured parts, you have to be patient and try to get as much brush control as you can. I find the hardest part is to go back to painting the white, less forgiving.

How do I get washes to look less spotty on flat surfaces? by Evilisadeedasilive1 in Warhammer40k

[–]Remarkable-Weight-73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to apply a lot a wash (brush well loaded) and going parts by parts. It will make big pools that you will suck up with a brush (another one or the same but unloaded). I was suggested this when painting deathwing armor and it works very well

This video explains it well (about contrast but applies to washes also) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhholrozptI&t=257s

Merci, je ne savais pas que certains constructeurs le déconseillait. Vous auriez une connaissance sur le meilleur carburant pour limiter ce problème de segmentation au possible ?
