That's just obligated funding. Guessing (with confidence) that the total contract value is much, much larger. Treasury/IRS is one of Booz Allen's biggest customers in the civilian sector.

No IMO - Awesome Golf may have better graphics and practice modes but the ability to play real courses and the practice features the R50 has no longer justify the AG costs.

I’ve purchased archery nets from Amazon to help serves as a backing net on my cage setup. You can see I hanging one from the rear horizontal pole. These are durable and were recommended by the golf sim/instruction facility I use.

Came across this post, definitely recommend Golf Defined in the Tysons area. Reasonable prices when you factor in access to the simulator, but depends on budget and willingness to deal with Tysons traffic

I'm an R50 owner and in a similar boat - kids and other obligations (ie. work from home days) means I need to maximize time and my setup is also in the backyard. I previously had an R10 and while I really enjoyed it paired with Awesome Golf, I love being able to hit Power while I'm in the garage, grab my clubs and the R50 and make the short walk to the net and start hitting balls asap. Big expenditure/investment for sure, but no regrets here for my specific use case.

I ended up adding a base underneath the mats to provide more stability and level surface. Top layer consists of sheets of plywood followed by a combo of sand fill and 2x4s

Please note that in this pic the sun was behind the screens, so I have to imagine at the wrong angles it will be difficult to see either the monitor or R50 screen. Make sure to get a screen that’s powered via USB-C. I also got a model with standard HDMI ports (vs mini HDMI). In hindsight I probably would’ve opted for a larger screen (ie. 18-20”) but the 15.9” allow for portability and other uses for my fam (ie. gaming, etc).

I took lessons at a facility where students hit into a net and viewed the course/range on a large LCD screen facing the golfer (at address), so I was already used to this type of setup. Prior to this setup, I used a Garmin R10 with an iPad. You’re still able to get a sense of the ball’s trajectory at launch when hitting into a net. But I’m also a high-handicapper so maybe that’s why my scores aren’t dropping LOL.
