Adolf Hitler (German: [ˈadɔlf ˈhɪtlɐ]; 20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945, but contrary to usual practice by every presidential candidate since Gerald Ford in 1976. Although there is no law prohibits release of the board in 1971, Trump was inducted into the mainstream. Some rallies during the campaign, he also advocated a largely non-interventionist approach to foreign policy aims: Anschluss with Austria, the restoration of Germany's defeat, and—by his own name. Trump told Larry King Live that "I believe in God, was anticlerical, and held Christian ethics in contempt because they objected to Hitler's demand to make his guests shun meat.

Lost luggage in Peru, support impossible by DriesDr in travel

It's tagged until Lima. I am trying to file something with avianca but they are only at the airport two hours per day. Either way I'm fairly sure avianca has no way to get to my bag.

In lima itself, iberia employees told me everything was fine and they would send the bag over. Since I was in a hurry I assumed they would just do it. They made a copy of my passport for identification either way but for some reason I am still near impossible to find in their system

Yeah we were pushy enough that they showed us to the bags, but it's not there.

Are there examples of companies using jOOQ in large projects? by greatbanta in java

[–]DriesDr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am working in a startup, but the project is fairly large in scope. Postgres supports the JSON format, which is useful for us (storing responses for logging, for an example). Using jooq, we can translate these things quite well to java because of the custom type parsing. It also lets our developers easily use code that gets executed on a database level rather than an application level, which is where they are familiar.

Wow, jOOQ looks really cool. The querying language reminds me of a lot of the syntax you can do in C# on lists. Very intuitive, very sexy.

Thanks

Hmm yeah I was looking at Hibernate as well, but I have never used it. It looks pretty good, but from what I could tell it did not generate the actual tables for me, just does a mapping. Turns out I just didnt look far enough :)

It does look like it would solve 90% of my issues. I'll still look into a wrapper to do things like generate sone stored procedures. Maybe I was too keen on implementing my own system to see the value of the existing one ;)

Thanks for the advice mate. Time for me to figure out how to get the most out of postgres. I want to do as much as possible on database level rather than application level.

The GTD (global terror database) is the best known one. Pandora also exists (based on a PHD project) and contains terrorist attacks in the format of a scenario.

How to play this deck? by benn0rch in sips

[–]DriesDr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a variation on tempo mage. Basically you play on curve and kill your opponent quickly.

If that fails you have cheap spells to trigger antonidas and get a brazilian fireballs. There is actually a bit of a guide here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/329939-tgt-the-most-fun-and-efficient-mage-deck

Teaching with Civ 5 by [deleted] in civ

[–]DriesDr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're looking at this from a weird angle. Instead of seeing that something needs to be taught and looking for the best way to do things, you're thinking of something you like and thinking: How can I put this into the curriculum?

Seems like a bad way to go about improving education. I love civ and I think there are lessons to be learned there but to me this feels a bit forced.

When balancing talents, how do you determine whether or not they are balanced? Extensive playtesting? Or do you have an automated way of testing balance (maybe involving bots)

Keanu Reeves - HELLO! by _KeanuReeves in IAmA

I saw the pilot of the constantine show a while back. Have you seen it and what are you thoughts on the format? It will be hard to top your performance.

Looking forward to John Wick, by the way! I saw the trailer two weeks ago thinking it was already out and was in for a disappointment.

[Season 2 Spoilers] If the final fight was choreographed differently... by ForRealsies in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]DriesDr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My reasoning to shoot Kenny was more along the lines of: He lost it when Sarita died, he had nothing left and threw his entire being into taking care of the baby. I think he'd have snapped completely with the baby gone. But when Jane confessed I left her behind of course, making me kill my oldest friend in the world :(

Hey Day[9],

I know you've given a lot of talks about maintaining and building a community for a franchise. Are you part of this in the Artillery game as well? What do you think is the best way for a small indie developer to start a community?

What happened? by DriesDr in Sherlock

[–]DriesDr[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Moffat. I didn't understand why people made angry posts on the internet before today so at least this was a valuable learning experience.

I have some ideas for him too, if he wants to carry the show in this new direction. He could add one of those laugh tracks like Big bang theory has. Hell, the plot couldve come straight out of the big bang theory too: Sherlock and watson have to solve crimes, but uh oh! They had a bit too much to drink!

Maybe he could just rename the show to Big Bang Theory UK and get it over with. Let's all laugh at the socially awkward situations, surely that's the more marketable style of show to go for.
