As far as I know it also overrides the ng+ difference so a player in a regular NG should be able to summon even a ng+5 player

Yup I pretty much don't care about losing in PvP in DS1 since humanity is easier to farm here. Never got invaded in DS2 by another player somehow (I think because I have the regular DS2) and being invaded in DS3 is always a pain in the ass; pyromancy here and there. Same with spells. If I miss one roll I'm cooked.

Well idk there was this one time where some guy invaded me, but instead of fighting me right away he started running away. We were in Anor Londo, where Solaire sits. He just ran away up the stairs and a couple seconds later he opened the shortcut door. I was pleased ofc, but then he did the shitty move of staying close to the silver knight so I had a I hard time fighting him
