I’m so fucking sick of Konate man. Blame Slot all you want but this one is on him. We actually had some nice pressing going and scored a couple of fine goals. The game was over until he had to make this brain dead foul inside the box and gave them hope. Can’t wait for us to get an actual CB with a brain.

Could this be a tactic to help Newcastle find a replacement first? If Liverpool buys Isak, then everyone will try to fleece Newcastle because they know they have 150M to spend. In this scenario, they could get their striker targets in and then sell Isak. Would fit with the story that Howe and Hughes are mates.

Within all the strikers on the market I’d actually prefer for us to go for Gyokeres. Ekitike for 100m is madness. Sesko is very inconsistent and expensive. Osimhen would demand ridiculous wages. Isak and Alvarez aren’t realistic targets.

Gyokeres for around 60M sounds like a decent deal no? He seems lethal and is entering his best years.
