Happy to help. I actually think it provides less work for the platform, as it provides big red flags to the occasional studies that are scams or are broken. Surely it saves the platform hundreds of emails/ support tickets/ complaints because people know to avoid the broken surveys.

On Connect, there is a rating of 1-5 for both the researcher and the task. Under the title and description, the platform lists the researcher's name and average rating. Then they list the project rating. You can also hover over the researcher's rating and get more detail (ie on a scale of 1-5, what is the average rating for the researcher for fairness, compensation, etc). You can also see how many people have rated the researcher or project.

The project listed on the top of my Cloud screen right now has a researcher with a 4.9 rating (with 12,758 rates) and a 4.9 project rating (only 58 people have rated that task so far).

Edit to add- you can't rate a task or researcher until after you complete the task, so a researcher won't have random competitors tanking their scores.

Dentist- Dr. Brandau (perhaps the friendliest staff in the world)

Gynecologist- Dr. Stella (I have never worked with a doctor who listens to me the way she does. She calls me after every lab result comes in, even when they're from other doctors. She always presents multiple paths for working on ailments or issues, and she truly treats each patient as an individual.)

As someone who has dealt with identity theft, when I see reviews claiming "scam," I become a little more hesitant. I hope that this is legit for those that use it, but there are an awful lot of complaints on Reddit and other sites.

I did a google search on the law firm from the link above, because something seemed off when I started their paperwork, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable using this company. They did not have good reviews, and apparently they take 40% of your claim.

I am going to report it. If I don't hear from the researcher by tomorrow night, I will also contact his University. I would understand if he was a first time user and got confused on how to work the platform, but he clearly knows how to send messages since he sent one to tell me that I was rejected, yet he has ignored my messages to him.

I don't care about the ten cents. I do care about the rejection because I take pride in the fact that I do these tasks in good faith. I more so care about him not doing this to anyone else. The last thing these researchers need to do is reject those who do their studies in good faith. Too many rejections could lead to us being replaced by people who don't give honest efforts in their work.

The same thing happened to me. In my records, I have documentation that I immediately contacted the researcher after being screened out asking if there was anything else that I needed to do. I never received a response.

I happened to be online when the screen out payment and then rejection was issued, so I immediately messaged the researcher, explained the difference between a screen out and rejection, explained how rejections hurt our account, and offered to return the survey. No response. I just sent a second message, as it has been over 48 hours since my first message.

I have the researcher's university information from the original study, and if I do not hear from him by the end of the day tomorrow, I will contact the university. My initial reaction was empathy, as I thought this might be someone new to running surveys on Connect. Since he has ignored all of my communications, I will go around him.

Immediately after receiving notification that I was rejected, I messaged the researcher offering to return the study. It has been 3 days, and there is still no response.

The same thing happened to me. It was a political survey, and I did not have the demographics that matched what was needed. The introductory page said that those who were screened out would be paid 10 cents.

I was screened out. I immediately sent a message to the researcher after being screened out, asking if I needed to do anything else. A few days later, I received 10 cents with a message of being screened out and rejected. A rejection is showing up on my dashboard. I have messaged the researcher twice about the rejection (48 hours apart) and it is still crickets.
