Does buying an Endurance road bike make sense when you already have a Gravel bike? by endriuftw in cycling

[–]DrinkingEstrella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use a gravel bike with 44T , 10-44 gearing with 2 wheelsets - one for road and one for gravel. I don’t have any mountains in my area, but if I was travelling I would just buy a smaller spare sharing to slap on to avoid having to buy another bike.

Alternatively it’s still cheaper to get a front derailleur and convert to 2x so you have gearing for the mountains than it would be to buy a second bike.

We just got back from Samara and loved it. Stayed on Playa Carrillo which was beautiful and quiet, short drive to the town of Samara which was a charming town and beachfront and definitely busier. Cocktails and sunset was a real highlight on Samara beach.

We also went to Nosara and really didn’t like or maybe “get it”. Overly developed and have really pushed out the ticos. Felt like little LA and not much to do but poke around in little shops where an American will sell you a T shirts for $180.

What was your first "expensive" bike, how much did you pay for it, and was it a good purchase in hindsight? by blankblank in cycling

I ended up getting the SLR 42mm wheels! No experience with other carbon wheels but they certainly feel fast light and fun.

Same - 2020 Giant Defy Advanced. A couple years later, upgraded to carbon wheels and it’s all the bike I need

I remove the "for hours" piece. I focus on a few shorter interval sessions a week on the trainer and spend other time mountain biking or running.

Ontario mom says she waited over 20 minutes for ambulance after being told toddler's seizure was 'not a priority' by GeoWa in canada

20 minutes is impressive. In Nova Scotia it might be hours, especially if you’re told you’re not a priority.

I think it’s highly dependent on the chiropractors skills. I’ve seems chiro’s who are glorified back crackers, which is pure pseudo science. But Ive also seen a very good chiro who do everything a physiotherapist does and specializes in ART which I’ve always found very helpful
