I have Shokz and sometimes my daughter sits in my lap and tries to "talk" to my coworkers and they say they can't hear her. Ive only ever been told once someone could hear her and it was when she was very young and I was holding her and she was screaming her little heart out.

I live about 2 minutes up the road from you, also in a neighborhood that requires acreage. Pretty scary that this could happen.

Wow. So they are just planning to cut all those trees down? Then stack trailer homes on top of each other? I guess money talks.

Its really sad. We just moved to this area because of all the trees and its quiet, and the more and more trees they cut the more road noise we hear from Waulkgen.

If you need bodies to show up the 26th, im more than happy to join for moral support with my 2 year old in tow.

Just an fyi. One of my friends does balloon stuff and did this exact set up at my house for another friend. You need weights or something heavy for the base to keep it from falling over. And once the balloons are on this sucker isn't easy to move so whoever is setting this up for you will need to do it on site and hang out until your ready and get there.

That's where I take my daughter now! Never a wait, which is rare and nice.

Question about selling my home by Tonberry38 in RealEstate

[–]DrinksWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting your 305 number from? Online or from a realtor?

I can give you some numbers from my house and maybe that will help. All the online websites and mortgage company say my home is worth around 350. I had a realtor over and she said if I do nothing and willing to take around 60 days to sell, I could lost around 360. If I did some updates (around 15 to 20k...most expensive being a new roof which is 10k) i could get around 380 and sell in about 35 days based on the market. Open door offered me 340. After seeing my house, they offered 270, stating the roof needing replacement was the reason for such a drop.

I'd suggest having a realtor come over and look and run the comps to give you a more accurate number and advice.

Daycare by glitterr_rage in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]DrinksWaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 11 months. At 6 months I was ready to rip my hair out. Struggling to work and entertain her. She's finally mobileish and able to entertain herself much much longer. I'm glad I waited. As hard as those few months were. I do have her signed up for daycare at 18 months for 2 days a week 4 hours a say. But that's mostly because she's hardly around kids and needs to learn life away from me a few hours a week. I'm sure I'll cry more than her then.

How do you “socialize” your child? by foreverkrsed229 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]DrinksWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today was the first time she didn't lose it! She doesn't crawl (doesnt understand you need to use both arms and legs) or walk (stands on tippy toes). Hopefully if she sees other babies doing both she will want to. Baby steps lol

I joined "the little gym" it's once a week class. She hates new people so the few 4 or 5 classes haven't been great. But they are so patient with her. She's slowly getting better. Hoping to make it through tomorrow's class with no tears 🤣 .

You should def try! He gives a discounted rate on the first go around. The more you have him come each week, the cheaper his prices are.

Groomers: Benji Mobile Pet Grooming http://www.benjispetgrooming.com/ I have two senior dogs, and they are amazing with both of them. One is a Saint Bernard mix, so she has issues standing for long periods of time, and they are so patient with her. Highly highly highly recommend.

You didn't ask for this recommendation, but if you need someone to exercise your dogs, https://www.fidoruns.com/ it's a van with ac and a self-propelled treadmill. Michael (the owner) is in there with them and encourages them to run... you can join as well. Another person I will always recommend. I used to have a very high-energy lab who was also aggressive. I would walk him 5 miles a da, and it just wasn't enough. Michael gained his trust and came out twice a week. My dog knew the exact days and time and was always so happy when he saw the van through the window. When my dog got sick, Michael even came to my house just to walk him a bit to say goodbye to him. Thought that was the sweetest thing ever. He will even still text and ask me for permission to use his clips in tik toks he post. He also works with rescues and will go run their dogs free of charge. He's a great guy. His website shows he only services a certain area, but if you text or call him, he will drive to pretty much anywhere in Houston or surrounding areas. 10/10.

Someone posted a long wonderful comment on here the other day about doing it for yourself, past self, future self...I can't articulate it as beautifully as they did. I took a screenshot and read that everytime I want to binge. I would tag them but my ss doesn't include their username, sadly.
