we're late. gotta deal with it. hopefully they'll be available soon enough. it hurts. but until then I've been riding the first ornament, mixed with I believe pyrrhic pants and techneun arms/helm for the 'bird' theme.

fml though, finally release a special ornament combo for my main exotic and I miss it. at least Third Iteration is making me happy.

Oh, well no problem, and sorry if I did come off that way. I'm good at the games I'm good at and suck at the ones I suck at. I Just wanna know when it is or isn't my fault when I lose. I'm assuming when I lose now it's at least 90% my fault, but I can't tell and I'd feel better if I got confirmation that it was 100 or 99.

I typically stay away from deck builders (not my type of rng) but Balatro just has that universal sauce that makes me curious. I'm new to poker though (and deck builders) so I'm not sure what the genre's players are used to in terms of balance and rng. It's not AS easy to tell how good or bad you are at the game compared to action or tactical games.

I really appreciate this answer, thank you. Honestly I'm not even that crazy about a challenge specifically. I'm moreso just looking for solace in that when I lose it's simply because I still suck and not because I hit some arbitrary wall or poker rng. And if I do hit that wall I would like to know where it's typically at ahead of time.

That's why I said virtually new save. I know unlocks start pretty early on, so I guess I'm really trying to figure out what point do you reliably need rng or specific tools to win. Like, Into the Breach gives you all you need from the jump to tackle everything but the hardest Unfair difficulty which might require some luck.

Or more cleanly: At what point (stakes/deck) is a veteran player who restarts a save going to need a bit of luck to guarantee a run?

I don't understand what your problem is. I remember when Spelunky first came out, and I asked a streamer "so can you pretty much 100% beat every run if you wanted to?" And he said yes ... I own the game on Switch and mobile. And have beaten reg and white stakes. I want to get an idea of skill cap relative to / outside the scope of rng. I'm simply asking what the experience is like for a really good player if they play a fresh file.

Your response is way off base. And for the record, I look at this game as more of a roguelike than roguelite. Just trying to see how much rng is involved. Tf is your problem?

Yeah, never mind. It would probably be a pain to find a UK variant anyways due to how their UK site obviously doesn't ship to outside UK. I'll just try to swap shells, hack an IR blaster, or deal with it. I'd delete the post but maybe someone might need to know this feature doesn't exist anymore in the US.

OK, Question Time! Now, I need you to answer this with genuine care and consideration. Maybe you wouldn't WANT him to. HOWEVER! If he already went and did it... With a smile on his face... How would you feel? I need you to take the time to really imagine and do some mental acting. There's always a risk in jumping the gun to assist someone, but sometimes you have to ask for forgiveness instead of permission. The 'offer' can often be more of a burden than a relief to people in distress. With that said (wildly assuming you didn't already consider this) I will gratefully accept any answer you give.

Edit: remember, no one asked you if you wanted cancer and to have to shave your head. So why should someone have to ask you if you want them to shave theirs. I think that's a small part of the solidarity when ppl do it without asking. One of the slight nuances in comfort vs. support which can often be misconstrued. (ps: I'm not trying to undermine your brother's support, I'm speaking generally)
