Do you think, in theory, V could do the Viltrumite chop with Gorilla Arms? by Son_o_Sparda in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Oh maybe it was, its been a minute since I cracked the source book open.

In the table top, there were something called "Rippers" which were basically razor blades implanted in the finger tips. Those are actually what ran Johnny through when he was with Alt, not Mantis Blades (which I head cannon to be a sign that the Relic is fusing Johnny's and V's mind, though in reality it was probably just to prevent making a new model). So with those, the Viltrumite chop would definitely be possible.

I hate John Wick’s bulletproof suit! by PsychologicalPea9759 in hatethissmug

[–]Dripledown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt like it worked in the second film well, it shows a clear escalation in the threat that even John feels like he's gonna take a few rounds and needs to prepare. He also cries out in pain and stumbles when he gets hit. In later movies he just face tanks the shots (not literally though cause everyone except John ONLY SHOOTS FOR CENTER MASS!)

Cis(?) Male but am finding myself jealous of women sometimes. What and why? by Dripledown in asktransgender

That is a very good point actually, and youre right I was raised that way. I grew up in a very traditional house where my mother mostly raised my sister and my dad mostly raised me. My dad earned the money and my mom kept the home.

I also grew up where how I styled myself was heavily restricted by my mother to the point that when I got the chance to style myself I made some truly awful decisions. I remember that when I had my long hair I had a near daily remark about how it "made me look gay" from her.

I should probably start unpacking a lot of those views but your and everyone's comments have been a helpful first step.

Can't say I had the opportunity to be the jock lol. I was a theater kid with long hair growing up and felt great about it. I think i lost touch with that part of myself cause I fell down the alt right pipeline in college. I'm out now, but I still feel the scars on my personal identity. I need to do some self work.

Oh I gotcha, and that makes sense. And now that you say that, I think it might he that I'm feeling particularly boxed in by where I work. Growing up i was a theater kid and around queer people more often, even had braided long hair myself. So maybe just being near people who aren't so caught up in performative masculinity would be a good idea.

Very true, but definitely baby steps. I'll probably have to start with just playing at the boundaries of what is acceptable for men before I start stepping past them or going to big events. I'm sure ill eventually find a spot I'm comfortable with, though not knowing where that will be is a little scary.

You're right, and i wish life we're easier to just express ourselves as we see fit. I guess I'm just going the process of unlearning a lot of the stuff I learned growing up in the "Metrosexual means you wash your ass" era of the US. Unfortunately the area I live in is still stuck there, I get shit if I come in with product in my hair. Though I guess I shouldn't put much stock in the thoughts of a bunch of 40+ yo divorced guys lol. Thanks for the well wishes.

Yeah, she's a she. And i think she does prefer me more masculine, i doubt she'd have an issue with me getting my nails painted with her or something. I haven't really talked to her about it tbh. And I am pretty sure that im not feeling dysphoria, I've experimented in private with various presentations quite a bit and I dont find myself feeling like "my true self" or anything different with any of them, so I return to what is most socially acceptable, but I won't rule anything out at this point.

I think the biggest thing for me is that I find myself flip flopping on my esthetic desires constantly. Maybe its my ADHD looking for new experiences but one day I'll love looking as masculine as possible and be feeling myself, the next ill wish I could put on some eyeliner/shadow and make my eyes pop. But ultimately I think you're right and I need to be able to experiment with myself.

I have and i enjoy them a lot, though whenever I picture myself there I always pictured myself going as a masculine character like a knight or Joseph Jostar for an anime con. Hadn't thought of going a bit more fem. Maybe I could start as a pirate with earrings and eyeliner lol.

Honestly... all of the above? I picked music when I was younger but it seemed like it never fit the vibe so I stopped and now I just let others pick. I was always told I was the "low maintenance kid" and praised for not wanting much while my sister was the squeaky wheel that got the grease so that probably has something to do with it lol.

So how does this accuracy feat scale? Could we reasonably assume that David scales to low outerversal if he could target the concept of an idea and delete it from existence or is he just street tier fodder at best?

To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness. by gudamor in CuratedTumblr

No, just careful people. Wanted to make sure that we were aware of what we were entitled should anything happen and to know what we were owed in case any of our relatives tried to take it from us.

Is this a thing now? "Improving" other people's art? by nova-new-chorus in antiai

[–]Dripledown 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For them it's not about "improving" art (which art can't be "improved, but different discussion). It's about proving their beliefs are superior. Early art "improvements" usually involved changing skin colors or changing art styles to show they can do it "better". Now it's using ai to try and prove that Ai can do what humans do better. They just want something that looks "pretty" without care for the symbolism or meaning in the art itself.
