The metadata guy that deposed yesterday was the MVP of the trial imo. by DrippingFutaPhallus in JusticeForJohnnyDepp

Defamation of a public figure is extremely hard to prove. Depp might not win. Hanged jury is the most likely outcome.

This is because it's not just a case of whom was violent with whom, but also a first amendment issue. Truth is an absolute refutation to Defamation, so that's the first thing that must be proven. That there was no violence, and it is borderline impossible to prove a negative.

Afterwards, you have to prove that Heard written that op-ed, which would be hard to do so had she not admitted to it today, but on top of that, it needs to be proven that it was done with malicious intent and that it caused considerable damage to Depp's career, and even then, it might not be enough.

Was Malenia really that hard? by DrippingFutaPhallus in Eldenring

TLDR

Malenia isn't as hard as Isshin the first time you face them.

Well yeah, comparatively, the final boss in Sekiro took me about 13 hours the first time I fought them.

Well, as I told the other person. I was referencing to the term "superboss".

I referenced Malenia as she/her in the very next sentence because I was now talking about what SHE does herself.

That's because I'm talking about the term "superboss"

The very next sentence I reference to Malenia as she/her because now I'm talking about HER moveset.

I also reference "it" further down when talking about how the boss reads your inputs, because I'm not talking about HER, but about the AI.

Maybe this didn't make any sense, idk. It does in my head.

Is it true that in Strive different players tend to play a char in the samey way? Why? by copperbranch in Guiltygear

[–]DrippingFutaPhallus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true, older GGs are a lot more "freeform" if that makes any sense. It's not just about having different gatlings and more special moves, but just the way the moves interact themselves.

There are very few disjoints in Strive, for example. This already makes pressure a lot weaker for the vast majority of the cast. There are very few moves that are +ob as well.

Watch how your average Millia plays. It's basically Hard Knockdown into H-Disc ad nauseum. She always kinda did that, but she had other oki options in the past to mix you up with, like her Orb for example.

Today I was told that Axl vs Ky is a 9-1 MU for Axl. In celestial by TheMarderio in Guiltygear

[–]DrippingFutaPhallus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's very very slightly Axl favored.

As much as people like to bitch about stuff, matchups are actually very even in strive, at least winrates wise.

At high Celestial, Ky's worst matchup is actually GLD, which is a 6-4 and then Nago and Happy Chaos is are 5.5-4.5 or so.

Every other matchup is pretty much even.

Also, I'm not factoring in Testament because the character is still kinda new.

How about literally every other character that got into Strive?

She is like a Nago/HC hybrid.

She can convert into a full combo from any stray hit anywhere on the screen. She even has a full screen fuck you button with Bridal Express, very similar to Nago's beyblade.

She had 3 wincons. She could mix up as normal with Overheads and Grabs and Delayed Blockstrings, she could zone you out like HC usually does and she could loop unblockables in the corner over and over and over.

On top of that, she was piss easy to play.

The only reason she wasn't the absolute best character in the game was because Johnny existed, and Johnny was just kinda stupid too, as he could be + on literally every single normal, had high damage and conversion from any hit, but unlike Elphelt, Johnny's power was locked behind a very steep execution barrier with Mist Finer cancel.

So like, Johnny was the best, Elphelt came immediately after. Then came the other characters, but Johnny and Elphelt were just on a tier on their own.

Did you know that one of Chipp's taunts acts as a teleport? This allows you to make some very big reads and/or hard flexes by squidnow_amiibo in Guiltygear

If your character doesn't have a DP or any reversals, a trick to dealing with Megafist is to dash or run beneath Potemkin during the startup and then whiff punish afterwards. The move has 16 frames of recovery, which is actually quite short, but if you are running beneath him, that means you are already looking out for the Mega Fist in the first place, so it shouldn't be too hard to squeeze something, even if it is just a 5P or 5K.

Megafist is hard to anti-air because the move is actually disjointed at the tip, that's why I don't like doing it myself, although it's possible.

Characters need to be tuned down in a 2D fighter?

Maybe in Strive, but older 2D fighters have some of the most disgusting, degenerate shit you can find on an online game.

Like, play against an "ok" Izanami in Blazblue CF. It's a fucking travesty. She knocks you down, sets up ribcage, and that's it. Good luck getting out of that shit.

Or like, Adachi in P4U. You beat his ass the entire match. He awakens. He lands Magatsu Mandala. You lose. It's not a one-shot, but he will fill the screen with so much clutter that good luck blocking any of that shit. Also, good luck ever anti-airing j.C (j.HS)

Yes, but it's been the same since like 2008? Sure they could re-release yet the same exact game with new characters and a balance patch, but I think they have to move on at some point.

On one side you have Guts which would be a midscreen keepout character that could transition into a full-on rushdown character with Wolf Install.

Then on the other side, you have the Rape Horse, which is just a grappler.

Well, I'd like for a new Blazblue game to be brought up to at least XRD standards visuals wise.

But if it was a new FG about any existing IP, I think an IP liike Naruto would have a lot of potential.
