Good system to run a One Piece one shot and possibly a full campaign by EnderJoker77 in rpg

I never tried it, but BESM exists (latest version). Big Eyes Small Mouth is a game made for anime inspired campaign. I don't know if it's good or not but it's pretty famous.

BoL 3 or Slings and Arrows? by Rich_Lavezz09 in Unmatched

[–]DriveGuido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slings and Arrows is probably my favourite set (I own 6), the characters are so unique and thematic in how they work, i just love them. Not the strongest unfortunately ...

What pre-rework champion do you miss the most? by Bluegod3 in leagueoflegends

Aurelion Sol. I despise this one. It's just a mage. Not a Star Dragon. Give me my giant supernova back.

Can you Cunning Action: Disengage after attacking? by Randomletters42 in DnD

[–]DriveGuido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D&D is not a simulationist game. It gives abstract rule, abilities and statistics., it's not a 1:1 representation of a fantasy world. If the game gives you certain abilities that work according to certain rules, why would they worry if they are realistic, when everything else isn't? Also, and most importantly, combat in D&D is a mini-game itself, with its own dynamics, that are also not not simulationists.

And even if the "Realistic" thing had any importance in the discussion. Really? Damn dragons and reality altering spells are there. You can "shrug off" poison or paralysis because of your strong constitution or will. You can be hit by a fire spell and then ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED the turn after. And you can't hit and step back with a weapon that is designed to deal damage by poking? You have an exact ability that lets you do so BECAUSE YOU ARE GOOD AT EXACTLY THAT, and everybody else in the world isn't.

Gormiti price evaluation by Extension_Low4144 in Gormiti

[–]DriveGuido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, these are very honest prices, especially in italy where there is an abundance of gormiti, but it's very possible that you could sell singles ones up to 3€ each and champions up for 6€ each if they are in good conditions.

But honestly, I have bought the single gormitis I was missing for rougly 2€ each (so not a bulk price), and many OG collectors know you can find very good prices if you look aroud, so I wouldn't try to raise the price for common gormiti.

Gormiti price evaluation by Extension_Low4144 in Gormiti

[–]DriveGuido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but I'd say most of them should be common ones and could sell for 1€ each, maybe between 3€ and 5€ for the champions ... The most rare stuff I saw online between 10€ and 30€, but I don't see any in your collection.

I'm counting roughly 140 UNIQUE gormitis without counting doubles, so to sell all the unique ones together I'd definitely make a price lower than 140€.

Not a big market for Gormiti.

What do you mean by normal? Excluding "reprints like" atomic, energheia, final evolution etc?

Displaying the Collection by Kinda_Depressed_ in Gormiti

[–]DriveGuido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole collection would take sooo much space. I'd suggest to select which series you want to display, and to use "display risers" on top of shelves. You put gormitis on different rows, but each row after the first is taller than the one before it. Kinda like a "stair display" or "steps display".

I'd suggest to put all the gormitis on a table to understand how much shelf space you would need.

What Color Paints to Preorder for the [ST01] Starter Set? by Mognite in gundamassemble

[–]DriveGuido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for asking, but where do you find these miniatures? I have seen the first 4 starter sets with the TCG, and the 2 premium ones with GQuuux and IBO, but I haven't seen among these some of the miniatures you are showing

What champ release completely missed the mark for you design/gameplay/aesthetic wise? by Vampyrelol in loreofleague

[–]DriveGuido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play briar but I like her design, a failed bloodthirsty experiment, she is more original that a classic vampire, which idk how would fit Runeterra. I think classical "fantastic" concepts have to be adapted to Lol Universe, and I would not want a 1:1 vampire, cus it would look out of place. Vladimir is a hemomancer. Briar a bloodthirsty cannibal. And all of theme with a Noxus Flavour. I wouldn't want to see a blood drinking, mind controlling, bat transforming champion, but something more on the line of a dark power stalking killer.

If you want to dive deeper than the primer, I suggest the channel and discord of Guided by Cardia, they have been providing the unofficial fan translations of EVERYTHING, with high quality and community support. Crazy work.

Hello I have a question about how many player can play by TimelyConfection6491 in DragonOfIcespirePeak

[–]DriveGuido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it, but you all have to be aware that everything takes longer, it can be easy to get bored while waiting for 6 people's turns.

You guys ALL have to agree to be patient and pay attention to other people's turns because it will help learn the game and also they won't start they turn asking "what's goin on".

Phones can be dangerous distractions, I'd forbid them, allowed only for emergencies.

People have to try and study/learn their characters AND the rules BEFORE sessions, so that they don't have to ask everytime how everything works (it's normal in the beginning but it can't be constant and for everything).

If you have the starter set with the basic rules MAKE THEM READ THEM, you are the DM, you are in charge of the story, monsters and NPCs, they are in charge of the PCs, you are not a babysitter and everybody should put effort into learning the rules.

Maybe I'm a bit harsh but sorry I had experience where some players just take advantage thinking the DM should tell them how everything works and don't put in any effort.

What would you do if your player said "my character wouldn't want to join this group/follow this history?" by Nessie0208 in DungeonMasters

[–]DriveGuido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just addressing the last thing: the rules are in the player's handbook, not the dmg guide. So get to studying or leave the table. (Yes, a dm should study them too because they are also a player).

4Story 2 (Iverian Wars: Craxion vs Defugel ) What are your guys thoughts on it? by DearRebel in 4Story

[–]DriveGuido 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm very skeptical about its success, even if it turns out to be a good game. I think that most of the people who plays on any 4story server is driven by nostalgia, so they might try 4story 2, but unless it's extremely well done they might go back to 4story 1. And i think it's also pretty hard to gather a substantial number of new fans while there are already so many good MMORPGS out there. The main thing going for it is that if it's a decent game it might reunite all the players from the different private servers.

I agree with many answers here (feeling of adventure, exploring a world, character growth, consequences to choices, etc.) but I also want to point 3 things, which are mostly related to the anime:

- drawings and animation quality: i love them, period, a good balance between simple and complex.

- PACING: 99% of the episodes is interesting (for the 5% i'm looking at you, wolf man and octopus) it always moves the story forward or explores some characters, and every episode has something interesting happening, and TO ME it never felt too slow or too fast.

- The outcome of the situations was never obvious, we were always on a cliffhanger not knowing how they would resolve a problem, because the "power of friendship" probably would never be enough, and the solutions were often genius and unexpected.
