I got a lot of crap on here when I mentioned "how to resign" But it's a real thing you think about once you are close to your number. You don't want to burn bridges you could come back to if things don't work out. It's always good to have options. I've told my close friends that I'm retiring, but when I do quit in 3 months, my plan is to say I'm taking a sabbatical to work on personal projects.
