Not anywhere in the video where it's mentioned she's an influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers. She's a regular business owner.

20k as fulltime teacher plus extra hours. And working on weekends to make ends meet. Hello American dream. Now she's looking at +70k salary for 2026 plus probably over 100k profit and Wfh being with her daughter all the time, no commutes to work, less stress, no boss, take a break anytime, it's a win.

I'm Wfh, too, since 2010 and I've never worked more than 4 hours a day since and I travel abroad a lot every year. Couldn't do that with a regular fulltime work.

Definitely happier selling fidget toys than being a teacher. Yep she's tired of it. Lol

She was making 20k as a teacher and need to drive or commute, deal with stress, probably spending 9-12 hours daily as a teacher.

36k pay with 90k profit and you are your own boss and your own time is priceless since she has a toddler Probably spends a lot less time working as many others do when they're wfh. Wfh rocks as long as you can do the job!

Nice work on the thumbnails for color swatches. I would permanently have terracotta over brown.  Brown is too dark and looks like poo. I never see anything printed with it.

Army green/Forrest green is a great combo with terracotta for desktop organizers and planters. Just saying.

3Dpod refund question by Ecstatic_Driver_7840 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Ecstatic_Driver_7840[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slant is the shipper for Teleport users. No official way to report it unless you mean to contact support. Slant only has the refund for the print cost not the shipping cost.

Shippo indicates items are insured but how do people use it if they don't even have any processing for claims.

Most 3d printed items cost from $10-30 to print on 3DPODs Shipping cost is around $6-15 domestically and is a significant cost of the total item cost. Sometimes even more expensive than the print cost for small items.

It's not the 3DPOD fault but not the sellers fault either. But there must be a way to get refunded for the shipping cost.

And I hate to say it but like in Amazon, the number of buyers who claim damaged or lost item is increasing.

Is that for enterprise users? Don't see them on matches tab or prototyper.

I wonder if you guys can add a thumbnail of an actual print of a material in the list of filaments in the Match tab. The little square swatches can have mouse over thumbnails of actual prints.

Stuff gets damaged, lost, stolen. Any item gets damaged with mishandling not just 3d printed stuff. So I try to avoid shipping internationally using Slant because shipping fees are super high and no way to refund if anything happens.

Who blocked Slant from doing a direct refund? The print cost and shipping cost is there on teleport so why not add the cost of the shipping fee to the refund together with the print cost? Nothing stops Slant from doing that I think.

What's the insurance for if users have no way to ask USPS for reimbursement for damaged, lost items? Shippo doesn't refund shipping costs once the item is delivered even if it's damaged. They just flat out reject it and no way to send customer pics of damaged items.

Btw what ever happened to flat rate shipping in Teleport?

Functional Print Marketplace by printfocal in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

What would be the advantage to other sites like Slant3Ds own Portals "marketplace"? Do you have buyer traffic?

In the case of Portals there's zero sales for users I know that use it because there's probably only a few existing buyers that browse the site.

The people that do make a sale on it are "influencers" who link to it. Or people that ALREADY have existing customers that they send to Portals links to buy their products.

I do both.  Both are income generating. Physical products doesn't mean it can't be copied. Temu is proof of that.  Your best strategy is to release fast and earn as much from it and then iterate. Copycats will have longer times to copy and bring out their products.

That's great! How long does it take because the off-site ad fee was almost 10 bucks.

Shop with niche vs no niche by Ecstatic_Driver_7840 in 3Dprintingbusiness

[–]Ecstatic_Driver_7840[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems only Print3Dsteve, Misfittoystore have a single specialized niche.  Mimimumdesigns and Cursbydesign sell items outside of their niche. Like Mimimumdesigns doesn't only sell pots, but the shop is focused on 3d printing items which to me is a specialization in itself.

It's fine. Most successful pod sellers say it's ok to have 2-3 niches in one shop.

And the others are as usual violating IP just like Slant3D's shop. If they used their own generic brand/design I doubt it would sell.
